  1. Karenleigh83 I went to the Wed orientation. What about you? Going made me extremely nervous! I'm the student who crams before tests!! I really have to focus to ensure I'm studying throughout the week! I was planning on working throughout the semester and taking classes for my Bachelors but I think I was being a bit too motivated. How do you feel after the orientation? Are you going to work or take any other classes?
  2. I would double check that you don't have to take the Kaplan. Reynolds changed the requirements for the program recently. As far as I remember the only students who don't have to take the Kaplan are LPN's, but you should call or check their websites to verify all information. The application process was really, really easy. They calculate a score out of 40 points based on your GPA and Kaplan scores, one for math and one for reading. GPA counts for 50% of the score; each Kaplan score is worth 25%. There is mo need for references, resume, or even an essay. The process took a very long time though, applications were due march 31st and I didn't find out until yesterday that I was accepted.
  3. Hey, I just got my acceptance letter for Reynolds in the fall!! Yay!! I had a 4.0 GPA, and yes you will have to take the Kaplan. It's very basic, so just touch up on vocabulary, grammar, and basic math. I received a 90 something on all portions of Kaplan test. Let me know if you have any other questions
  4. I didn't get in either.... It's okay though, I have Reynolds that I applied too! Congrats to everyone who got in, I know what hard work you had to put in!!! Good Luck!
  5. Congrats!!!! That is so exciting!! Still havent heard anything, but I'm refreshing my email every 5 minutes!
  6. I hope so! Good Luck. Make sure post as soon as you know, and I will do the same!!!
  7. I only got an 84ish on the TEAS, the grammar was so hard for me! I got low 90's in reading and math and 85 on science but only 66ish on grammar! The program at Bon Secours seemed amazing, but I have prepared myself to not get into the program, my tests scores were not that amazing, the only great thing at Reynolds is graduating sooner. Be sure to keep us posted when you find out!
  8. I also applied for Fall 2011, I was wondering when we would hear something. I am glad it is so soon, the waiting is killing me!! Good luck to everyone!! I also applied to Reynolds, did anyone else?
  9. charcoalpepper i am so sorry you didn't get in. did you get everything straightened out with your h.s. diploma? are you going to apply again for fall 2011? portace i am not able to send out personal messages yet, so i wasn't able to respond to your message. but thanks for the advice i think i have finally finished the essay so i am going to do some more proofreading and send it in. how are your classes going? are you working while attending?
  10. dolphinbeauty09 and ashtanga - i am in the same boat with bad grades from school when i first got out of college. i have been taking classes for the past year at reynolds and have straight a's. even with my a's, my cumulative gpa is 2.79, i was wondering how you explained the issue in your essay to the school? any advice would be great! thanks!
  11. The school said you have to disclose all schools, I didn't think it applied since I am not transferring any credits, but I was just trying to make myself feel better. I would rather me tell them and explain it, rather than they find out, and I get kicked out of school. I don't want to ruin my chances of possibly getting into the school later, if I can't get in now. I am going to call and make an appoitment to see a counselor at the school and start rewriting my essay! I wish I would have realized these grades were going to haunt me forever!
  12. Right after I graduated from H.S. my family said I had to go to college, not really ready to go back to school I took a few classes, never really went.... Long story short my GPA from that school is 1.74 (I didn't realized you could withdraw from classes). 5 years later I have been taking classes at Reynolds and have a 4.0. I figured it out that my cumulative GPA will be a 2.79, the bare minimum to be accepted. When I first applied for the program I didn't think I had to list the school, but now I am realizing that I have to, so I don't know how to tell the school about me not listing the school on my application. I don't want them to think I am try to lie to get into school... I don't know what to do, any help or suggestions would be great! I am sure that I won't get in for the Fall, but I don't want to never be considered because I didn't list the school in the first place.

  14. I am applying for Fall 2011 and taking my TEAS Test in Jan. Can you offer any advice on what to study?? Did any of you make it in the program?? Thanks!
  15. I have just applied to Secours and was wondering what the TEAS scores were for students who were accepted into the program? I am taking them at the end of January, and super nervous! During the information session they stated 350 students apply a semester, but they only accept 50!
