  1. Hello, I'm seriously thinking about moving to Redding, CA next spring. I need to take nursing pre-req's and then try to get into a program. Anyone in the Redding area have advice for me? Is it difficult to get pre-req classes at Shasta College? How competitive is it to get into Shasta and/or Simpson's programs? Do many people drive to Chico to get pre-req classes? Thanks. J
  2. There is a similiar accelarated BSN program offered here in Las Vegas. I went to the informational session and the counselor recommended taking the Marian University's online nursing pre-reqs. The program here is 14 months and includes online instruction and clinical rotations at three of the Catholic Healthcare West hospitals in town. I'm wondering if anyone has taken the online pre-reqs for Marian to see how difficult they are?
  3. I'm looking at an accelerated BSN program in las vegas and they recommend the online nursing pre-reqs from Marian. I'm trying to find someone who has taken the online pre-reqs to see how hard they are. I'm not sure how they can do this online with "labs"?
  4. I just started looking into NSC. I live so close to the CSN campus on Cheyenne and Charleston area so I prefer going to CSN if all things are equal. Sounds like NSC has lower tuition so I'll take a look at that. Thanks!
  5. Getting ready to start on my RN nursing pre-reqs. I live in Las Vegas. Should I take the pre-reqs at CSN or UNLV? Other than cost, what is the difference between the courses? Any other suggestions for someone who is just starting out on the RN education journey?
