  1. He told other doctors in the clinic not to see me because he thought I was crazy and he banned me from coming to his clinic after he mistreated ME. I went to see a gynecoligist for the first time so I wasnt familiar with the procedure and it hurt so I screamed at him to stop because I was uncomfortable. After that I called him to talk about my condition and he flipped out on me. He made fun of me for screaming at the appointment and treated me like a bag of garbage. Mind you hes supposed to be the best gynecoligist in the U.S. with the best bedside manner. smh
  2. Why is everyone just assuming Im trolling! I just wanted to vent and share my experiences with people who I thought would understand:confused:
  3. Yes but only because I didnt want trouble since I was a student:crying2: If it had been in my real life I would have kicked that sucker in the head
  4. i was hearing of a nurse who actually married one! Thats crazy
  5. this isnt the first time a doctor has treated me badly. Its a long story but a doctor I saw broke the Hippa act and shared my information with other doctors!
  6. Im a nursing student and I just realized that I hate doctors! Theyre total douche bags! I was at a clinical and it was lunch time so I sat down at my table. Then this doctor asked if he could sit down because I had two empty seats. So i said sure go ahead. Then two other doctors show up and he tells me that he needs my seat because he has another friend coming. Who the hell does he think he is? is it because Im a nursing student and he thinks hes a doctor hes better than me? I really hate doctors and Im rethinking my career choice because I dont want to work near these evil cruel people. Are the doctors you work with terrible too?
  7. Ebay makes me smile:). 60k is what florida normal rns make!
  8. I was wondering because I was looking at the salary online to be at least 70k but I noticed a lot of nps are taking teaching jobs as part time along with their NP jobs and a lot of my np teachers complain about salary the school pays them. In my head im like aren't you making 80k already aside from teaching?
  9. I know the question sounds a little presumptious but I really think I chose the wrong nursing school. Its a vocational school so I guess that explains it but DAMN it sucks. None of the students really feel like were learning anything useful. Ok so Dorthea Dix was influential in nursing. So how does this help me aid a patient?!? My teachers mostly read of powerpoints and dont really TEACH. The purpose of this question is did you learn what you know from working on the job or did your college actually TEACH you. I dont know anything in pharmacology now and if I ask a question the teacher who is an ARNP. Doesnt like it and assumes that we should all know after what two weks of class?!?!
  10. Im 20 and I havent really ever worked outside of small jobs like workstudy on campus
  11. I am a nursing student and I had my first clinical I was SOOO excited! I thought it was so cool and I was so happy! The patients were so nice and funny. ( i was in a nursing home) but I noticed the staff didnt share my enthusiasm. The nurses were nice but they didnt seem excited about thier jobs and were a little on autopilot. Are all nurses like that after a while? Do you lose satisfaction in being a nurse over time.
  12. Thanks I like cookies!
  13. Um maybe because they want to make sure your an RN?
  14. Im not a malicious person! I love people I'm just not very interested in medicine, but if someone was in pain or sick I would NEVER treat them badly, I have quite a few health problems myself so I know what its like to be in a painful situation. I guess its too late to change now because I start in 5 days. but I decided to go to nursing school and then get a degree in something else, Nursing will be a back up for me I guess, if i ever have to work as a nurse I will do whatever it takes to help a patient even though it might make me a little nauseous i.e. blood or catheters
  15. Thanks so much for your input everyone. My mother really wants me to be a nurse because in my city healthcare is the ONLY place where you can find a job. RNs here make 80k with 5 years experience. I think she REALLY wants me to be an RN because when she was younger she got a degree in child development and there is no money in that so she doesnt want me to regret getting a worthless degree she says. I still live at home so if I drop this its going to really suck living here shes convinced that if I dont take this RN chance I wont amount to anything in life, but I do give her credit by saying when I dont take her advice bad things usually happen so I guess "mother DOES know best" but I dont know if shes right about my future though.
