  2. wow that's nice to here, now i am very tempted to wait :) i am thinking about finishing my degree, as with an advanced diploma i only have to attend for a year part time to gain my bachelors. will this affect the way i can apply to the states, even though it's still specialist? that news has really made my day thank you. 3. sorry about over posting, is there anyway I can make the hours up in the Strates? Wendi
  4. ok I know I have had some theoretical classes in Maternity/Children/Mental Health/Mother and baby, so I think they will see that's enough. Thanks for telling me about them only needing my credentials, I can't honestly see myself taking the english test :rotfl: born and raised in Arizona, lived in England for 5 years. Anyway, I'm not sure where I will be, highest possibility Louisiana, just depends on if my partner gets a job in North Carolina or not. Good thing is we both have jobs that are required everywhere. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. Wendi :balloons:
  5. Hi, It's me again, just been through the CGFNS requirements and it says we have to have both clinical and theoretical experience in certain categories like mother and child and psychiatrics and things like that. We did have theory on these, but we had to search out and document our own learning experiences known as EU directives. Any ideas on what we can do for this? Will it be enough? Wendi
  6. hi, I moved to England about 5 years ago and have just finished my 3 year Advanced Diploma in Nursing. I love the culture and the people of England but not a big fan of the food :imbar I love the fact that people can walk into a hospital here and get treated without being asked for insurance, you just get them seen which is awesome. My partner is over there in Louisiana so my work is my life at the minute, but I am not complaining, English people are so great to care for. I love the attention they give me everyone I come into contact with asks me where I am from and how long I've been here, although it is harder trying to translate to people who are hard of hearing :imbar Anyway I do love living here it's absolutely beautiful, but I am lonely, I like being around other Americans. I guess there is no place like home :) Wendi
  7. Hiya, I know I have posted on several message threads but I think this one fits me the most. I am also looking to come back to the states and have an Advanced Diploma in Nursing studies. I know I need to take the exams but it's all about where I start, what I need to study how much I need to study when I need to apply, I know I can apply for the CFGNS (spelling?) here and am planning to take it in August. Any advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Wendi
  8. Hi, I Don't want to get too confused, I am already an American citizen but have the 3 year Advanced Diploma and am on the Register here in England. Will this affect me taking the NCLEX or CFGNS (spelling?)
