  1. Hey All: We have six more weeks until our Fundementals class is finished. It is really tough! At this point, don't worry about your GPA or your TEAS. The test is over, and you can't change your admitting grades. Just relax, wrap up your classes, and wait until may. We applied last september, and we didn't get an answer until november! The insanity, waiting is so tough! In the meantime, I would strongly recommend for you to brush up on your AP II and Micro if you are not taking these classes right now. A lot of the topics require you to recall your bio knowledge. Especially when you come to certain topics like the aging process, if you don't know what or have a hard time recalling stuff like GFR or CO = SV X HR, you will have a very, very, very hard time understanding the material, and you will have to review back. I hope you all succeed and keep pushing forward. If there are other places that still have their application dates open, I would apply there as a back up. It may not be what you want, or too expensive, but a RN is an RN!!! Don't believe people who say BCCC or Hopkins get hired more than other programs, because I know students from almost every program who had a tough time in the job market. By the time we graduate, it should have picked up. Also, some say that BSN nurses are preferred these days, fyi. I wish you all the best of luck. Hope to see you in the fall! Adina
  2. Hello, my name is Adina. I am starting school end of Jan '11. I am trying to get everything in order. What are the best study guides for RN program? I see the "Nursing _____ Made Incredibly Easy!" series is highly recommended, but then I see conflicting reviews. I live by CIG or Chem for Dummies. I didn't use them all the time, but were extrememly useful when I needed them. Let me know! Adina
