  1. i also just got my acceptance email! congrats everyone who got in! good luck to those who are still waiting
  2. Hey guys, I think there is always a chance too, so definitely do not give up and keep busy, otherwise the waiting game can drive you insane (trust me, i've been there). I also heard that Spring is much easier to get into b/c they almost have no transfer applicants from their sister schools. My TEAS (4.0) were 86% Overall GPA is 3.66 Good luck to everyone!
  3. Yup, I was in the same boat as Syfert19.
  4. Hey! I don't mean to pry, but I am assuming from your last post that you were offered a spot for Fall? If you don't mind sharing, what was your # on the waitlist? and how did they contact you? I am still waiting.
  5. Hey! Yeah I have no idea but they haven't sent out the official "waitlist is closed" email yet, so there is still hope some of us will make it in!!! Is SMU your number 1 choice or only choice? Where'd you take the prereqs?
  6. so has anyone else gotten in?!?! if yes, how did they contact you? email/phone?
  7. so far, only the first 4 people off of the waitlist have been offered admission.
  8. I am #26. I have a long way to go, but I am still not loosing hope of getting in for Fall Best of luck to everyone on the waitlist!
  9. Hi Syfert19, I got a waitlist notice in the mail as well today ( If you don't mind me asking, what number are you? I am keeping my fingers crossed that the waitlist will move fast!
  10. So has anyone heard anything from SMU? I still have not heard anything and I am beginning to fear that a rejection letter is on its way in the mail.... did anyone get accepted yet?
  11. SMU is open 8-5 pacific time, so anytime during those ours they can call or email. I am still waiting for them to answer me as well
  12. Yes, I believe it is in alphabetical order. My friend whose name starts with an A received a call from ------ at 4:40pm yesterday.
  13. hey guys, so has anyone heard anything yet?! I am starting to grow very anxious. all the grades from the feeder schools have been posted on the 27th, so SMU is deciding as we speak probably!!!! I hope we all get in! good luck! and please post if you hear anything from them :)
  14. bluechick112, thanks so much for a such quick response. SMU promised to notify by June 1st, so the day is coming up and I am getting anxious ;( How far in the program are you? Do you like it? Is it manageable? Any details or advice you would share would be awesome!
  15. also, those of you who got in, did they ask you to send your final grades from the prior semester (spring 2009) before they made a decision? thnx!
  16. Hi, I know most of you have gotten in already and finished the program. However, I wanted to ask how do they notify you that you have been waitlisted/accepted? Do they email or call or mail a letter? I am waiting for an answer for my admission to their Fall 2011 semester right now. Thanks! :)
  17. Nop, nothing yet. Last I heard from them, they said we would hear about their decision after June 1st because they are waiting to see how many people from their feeder schools will be transferring for the fall. Depending how many more spots they will have available they will accept the transfers like us ;(
  18. Has anyone heard anything from SMU? Any updates?
  19. Kha 2, I think USF is pretty lenient about stats when you apply since you have a whole year to take other courses before you actually start the 3 year nursing program. As long as you have 3.0, you are okay. They do not require TEAS.
  20. Hi USFRN2B, You sound just like me! :) I also applied to SMU for Transfer from a community college for Spring 2011. I did not get into SMU, but I was accepted into USF. Now, I am in my first semester at USF, however, I also have to wait until Spring 2012 to start my clinicals. So, I decided to apply to SMU for a transfer for Fall 2011. I am hoping I get in this time because like you said, it is shorter and I cannot wait to start working already! I did okay on my TEAS - 85. I wanted to retake them again since I was applying again, but the counselor at SMU told me not to. So what are u taking at USF right now? I am only in one nursing class - NURS 120 and some other GE classes. Btw, did you hear anything from SMU? Like confirmation that they received and started reviewing the app? I haven't heard anything from them yet.
  21. no, this is for BSN transfers
  22. Hey guys! Did anyone else apply to SMU for Fall 2011? The deadline just passed (March 1st), so any ideas when we might hear from them?
  23. Hi guys, Congrats to all of you that got in!! Do you know if they go in alphabetical order or how do they do it? If so, whats first letter of your last names? I am still waiting to hear from them. And were all of you contacted via email or phone or regular mail?
