  1. I wonder how far away the Bart station is from the school. I hope you'll be safe! as for me, I have no clue how to apartment shop but I need to find a place by January! I'm very excited for this semester to end and begin our nursing journeys. Good luck to those who are still waiting! i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.
  2. Well I live in South SJ and with traffic it's goon to take about an hour it so to get to Oakland. I was thinking of getting a place close to campus. But I'm not absolutely sure. What about you guys?
  3. Yay!!! Congrats!! See you guys in nursing school! We should make a pact and help each other :) it's always good to have a support group!
  4. Omg omg omg omg I got in!!!!! I'm so excited I'm crying haha!!
  5. @ Syfter19 CONGRATTTSSS!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! are you a transfer or are you from a sister school? I'm sooooo anxious. I haven't heard back yet.
  6. Thank you so much for your replies! My GPA and TEAS scores are roughly the same... But man I'm soooo nervous now! I think it should be any day now that we'll be hearing back from them.
  7. @Syfter and Chelnok do you guys mind saying what your scores were? I just want to see if I even stand a chance on getting on the waitlist. @kbug1119 - I don't think they automatically not accept people still finishing up the prereqs, The adviser just told me that there so many applicants from their sister school during the fall, that it's best for transfer students to apply for spring. I wish you the best though! because I know how you feel. I kind of have everything riding on this one school.
  8. thank you! I'm a bit lost on this site.
  9. Hello every one, I was wondering if anyone applied for the Spring 2012 BSN program at Samuel Merritt. The application deadline just passed on September 1st. I asked the lady that took my packet when students will start hearing back and she said it takes around 3 months to review all the applicants. I'm super anxious, and I was wondering if anyone is in the same boat!
  10. Hrmmm that is interesting. You should use a GPA calculator... because classes are definitely weighted depending on the number of units. I'm not exactly sure about Quarter system credits. Are there 3 classes required to complete the A&P section, or were they repeats? They might take all grades into consideration. how did you fill out the packet? did you put all 3 classes under both A and P? Mission College Career Transfer Center - GPA Calculator here's a link that might help. You should have spoken with Dr. Malloy she's very nice, and very informative. I must have came to see her 3 or 4 times. Every time I came in, she would ask me for my name and said "oh good, I'll keep a look out for your packet"
  11. SCNurse87 - thank you so much for the information! really really appreciate it~ Birry - Don't give up hope yet!!!!! I still have my fingers crossed for all of us!
  12. SJSU goes purely on impaction doesn't it? Or at least that's what I heard. @Birry where did you hear that the lowest score they took in was 10.18? every time I ask, they always tell me "oh well it depends" haha. A guy in my class got into the program last fall and he said that the his friend has a 9. something and got in... but I'm assuming since they weren't taking spring admissions into the school, the transferees with fantastic grades are flooding into the program. Good for them... sucks for me But my friend did say that they start mailing out the letters at the end of April... so hopefully we'll be getting the letters soon! because waiting is such torture!
  13. I definitely don't think you should worry.... your impaction score is around an 11.35 that's really good. I'm sure you'll make it in. I on the other hand... am really really really nervous. I have a 10.6 impaction score and I'm keeping my fingers crossed till I get my results. I'm actually having nightmares about it.... did they tell you that you'll get your results around May 17th? But good luck to you! I hope you get in :)
