  1. Congrats on your interview. I didn't get CAMH but other places for mental health in ontario ask about symptoms of different mental illnesses, crisis intervention, alot on mental health act, confidentiality, suicide intervention. One that got me was I forgot aboriginals had higher suicide risk. They also ask regular interview questions like leadership, weakness/strengths, how u deal with conflict, why you want to work there, a crisis situation you have been in
  2. I was accepted into second degree nursing with a Bachelor of arts in psychology. My volunteer experience was not related to health field and i had one research publication. So if you want to go this route, you should still try. Don't listen to what people are saying out there. The way people were talking when I applied I didn't think I had a competitive application and I ended up getting into every program. If you want more than 2 years , there is a 3 year compressed program through humber/university of new brunswick as well.
  3. they hire within ontario first
  4. Hi ccormier. Thanks do much for the informative answer. I live closest to u of t but have no preference re location. I just want the program that best prepares you for being a nurse. I rather the clinical aspect bc I could always read a text on my own for theoretical stuff.
  5. This is crazy....I have been accepted into all my nursing school choices for the compressed program (Trent, Western, McMaster, University of Toronto). If anyone has any information on whether you like the nursing program at these schools or not. It would be very helpful. Thanks
  6. Thank you everyone for your helpful responses. Suprises to hear about ryerson since it seems everyone wants to go there
  7. I am trying to decide what Canadian nursing programs I should go to (given they accept me). I was wondering what your experiences have been at nursing school.I am especially interested in Uof T, Trent, York, Queen's, Western, McMaster, St.Francis Xavier, Dalhousie but if you go to another school and like it please let me know. I am applying for accelerated/2nd degree option but if you are in the 4 year programs I would still value your opinions about your school. I really appreciate it
