YEA!! I just got a letter! I'm in for the Spring 2011 day program! I'm so excited!!!!! I applyed in April 2010 so I waited one semester. There is hope! To all that didn't get the letter - hang in there. The one semester wait went fast. I will keep in touch praying that all you guys get in next time. If anyone use is starting in Jan, please e-mail me so prehaps we can compare notes and prepare for the next step in our lives! Best Wishes To You All

Has anyone out there received an offer/acceptance into the Gateway LPN Spring 2011 program? According to the post, it looks like people have been informed that they did NOT make it into the Spring program but I havn't seen anyone post that they actually got in. I applied in April 2010. However, I have not received an notification that I did or did not make it in for the Spring 2011 program. How did all of you guys get notified? This "not knowing" is making me feel sick to my stomach. Anyone have any advise?

Hi All, miteacher - do you have your CNA? Are you currently working in the field? I work at Mayo as a CNA and from what I hear I should have an easier time with Block 1 and 2 due to the experience I'm getting. If you are not currently working at a hospital, you may consider this path. There are several people who worked at Mayo as CNA's while they went through school and state it helped them greatly. The other benifit is that you will have a foot in the door when you get out of school. So - they told you guys that there were over 100 people on the wait list and only 70 spots? That is disappointing for me. Although I'm one of those 100 people, I'm not very lucky. Is it your understanding that the people on the wait list will be placed first or are the people on the wait list picked at random also?

I don't know the answer to that question. Did they give you any indication of how long the wait is now or when you could expect to get placed? It would be intresting to know how many people are actually on the list. If it was like the MCCC RN program, you could get a general idea of when you may get placed. Good luck - I hope you get in for Spring 2011. If you do, that means I should! ha, ha.....

Hi All, I submitted my application for the Fall 2010 LPN program at Gateway in March of this year. Unfortunatly, I did not get in and was placed on the wait list. Last week I received an e-mail from Gateway asking me to respond if I was still intrested in the Spring 2011 class. The e-mail stated that it was not an offer of placement but simply asking me if I still wanted to be considered. Of course I said yes. Also, the e-mail stated that they will began sending out offers of placement during the week of November 15th. Anyone else on the wait list from the spring application period and hoping to get placed in January? Anyone know how long the wait is?
