  1. depending on where you are staying I would look online for nclex prep courses in the area. you can also study by yourself and just do a minimum of 2000-5000 nclex like questions. once you get into a passing rate of 75-80% at home you have a good chance of passing the nclex. these prep books/cd's are excellent. do every day a couple of hundred questions and you'll get the drift. good luck to you.
  2. Can anyone relate their RN work experiences in the Carribean?
  3. Torsten's response to conditions in the German Healthcare System triggered this question for me: How many patients do nurses in Europe take care off, in the Acute Hospital setting, ??
  4. Thank You for your detailed response. While I now understand that nurses in Germany are so underpaid I'd like to ask what nurses make in other European countries?
  5. Hi, I just received my RN here in the USA and I am training in Emergency Care. I am also German and I want to know how German nurses feel about their jobs.
  6. I know that they have a clause about age discrimination and getting a Visa. I did not know that it could be so hard and expensive to find a sponsor. I am wondering if there are exceptions (getting a work visa) for areas of special need. Where is the biggest shortage in Australia of RN's? Has anyone gotten arround the age limit? I don't want to permanently live there I am interested to obtain a limited working visa.
  7. Hi , I will be a traveling ER nurse in about one year. At this point I am collecting information on ..........job environments/hospitals/beautiful spots. Can you tell me about your favorite ED ..any links to Delaware... Thanks
  8. A friend tells me he gets $40/visit...up to $60 for an admission on the weekend in SWF
  9. How is your hospital's human resource department. I have seen huge advertisements for nursing jobs with incentives, great benefits...blabla bla.. ( in my area)... yet, the Human Resource Departments (in 3 hospitals) never answers the phone, message only and no call back for resumes and applications for one week. Do they really want to hire?? That has been my question.
  10. anybody able to tell me what is required of nurses trained in the usa to work in australia? i just finnished nursing school and i am starting an emergency room internship next month. i am not interested in permanently moving to australia, instead i am interested in temporary assignments. thinking about travel nursing a year from now.
  11. I would like to hear from RN's that have chosen to work in areas other than Hospital acute care (in SW Florida), such as LTC's , Rehab, Assissted Living....what are the working conditions??
