  1. i have questions! i thought that i was set with my selection, but now i'm thinking.. i was accepted into umass and mgh adult/gero primary care (which will all be merged into adult by the time i complete the program) and just got accepted into simmons fnp program. ahhhh! here are my questions: 1. do i really need to have the bsn and msn? 2. i hear fnps are most employable, should i take that into consideration? my heart is in the adult/population, but in all honesty, i don't want to be scrounging for jobs for the next 30 years of my life! any advice from students at these programs or others in the same boat would be sooo helpful. i want to make sure i'm making the right choice. my financial brain says umass, but i don't want to pass up a great career move over a few g's. thank you and good luck to everyone with decisions!
  2. It's so late in the game for MGH letters! Going into this, I thought MGH was my first choice, but I've already packed up and am heading to Worcester for the UMass program (received a decision in Feb!). It's insane to assume applicants are going to turn down other opportunities for a CHANCE of getting into their program. I'm feeling pretty good about the decision and certainly hope my spot opens up something for a waitlisted person. It seems like there's a lot to be determined at this point, so keep your hopes up if you haven't head anything yet. BTW, I have not heard a decision from Simmons, but I am obviously on their spam list because they keep sending me emails to sign up for prerequs through Simmons ($1000 for the same class I'm currently taking for $300 at BHCC). Seriously!?? Good luck to everyone - I hope you get into your programs of choice. Westward ho! ;-)
  3. Congrats, Citymoose! So, now that reality has set in, have any of you contacted financial aid? I'm starting to think about how I'm going to pay for this endevour:eek:....
  4. No dice. I was joking with my boyfriend that they accepted me by accident and must have figured out their mistake. Being patient is sooo tough!
  5. Hey Nala787, It looks like I will be joining you in the adult/gero GEP program:yeah: I will also be anxiously waiting for the official letter in the mail -I think that's when it will finally sink in. I look forward to meeting you both in the fall!
  6. Hi all, I also posted on the MA region thread, but I figured it couldn't hurt to also post here. I also interviewed for the UMass program and have sort of given up hope on admissions. Do any of you know if we'll be contacted in the case we don't get in? It would be great to have an answer, either way. I hope you are all doing well and hanging in there through these nail biting days:uhoh3:. Bleh! I had myself prepared for the worst and hoping for the best, but I guess rejection never feels good! Will you guys please, please, please post something when you hear your admissions status? Good luck:up:
  7. Hi there, Just wanted to find out what you two have heard. I had an interview and thought I would here something (for better or for worse) regarding admissions. Do either of you know if UMass responds if you are not accepted? It would be nice to know where I stand! I hope you are both hanging in there through the admissions process.I had no idea it would be so vague! Best regards!
