Big question regarding pageburst. I bought the book bundle package through the school and $915 later plus another 130 for the last 4 books, I am wondering if it is really worth it to have the e-book and all of the pageburst functions. I like the idea of not carrying books but wanted to know your thoughts since you have been in class. Thanks in advance...

EMT Jeremy- You should have received a letter indicating something, even a rejection letter. Call and talk to your adviser. Also, don't give up yet! You may be an alternate! Let us know either way.

Inspired Student- What are the odds that we have the same score? LOL! Thanks for posting... I am hoping others will find this forum and post as well. There is a Summer 2011 forum too for ASU in case you have not found it. Do tell if you find out any other information as I will do the same. I am sure you are as anxious as I am. Moe, I called and asked the front desk gal. She put me on hold and came back and told me April 6. I would call and confirm with an adviser. Let me know if they say different as I am thinking they will call alternates, if spaces are available, after that date- so I am eagerly waiting. Also, I don't think they can penalize you for doing active duty. Call them.

Hi Moe, Congrats to you. From your score, you are in!!!! The alternate list, so the front desk says, does consist of 10 people and no they will not give the ranking but April 6 is the last day to turn in acceptance or rejection from the students who were advanced so the alternates should know something after that. And from what I hear, alternates could be placed all the way up to class starting. I am hoping some of the admitted students got accepted to med school or nursing school somewhere else and open up some slots for us alternates! Win win for all!. I am keeping my fingers crossed. In the mean time, my :redbeathe is pounding....

Yes, meeting with an advisor will save you a lot of time and energy. They are all really nice and will help you move in the right direction.

Thanks dsgillis! I am hopefull. My score is 5.534 and the cutoff is 5.545. Sooooo close! I just wish I knew what number I am out of the 10! I guess time will tell.

Does anyone know how many alternates on average are placed each cycle and or how many alternates total? Thank you!

Hi Nursing Applicant- That is just for your major. Does not have anything to do with the Upper Division nursing program. Stay positive. I got that letter two semesters ago.

Hi all, I spoke with an adviser last week and she thought about 200 students have shown interest by way of the participants at the mandatory information sessions. As to how many actually apply, she does not know. Has anyone else heard anything? Good news is there are 100 slots available, which helps to some degree.

Thanks Jeremy for the updated information about the number of applicants they have seen going through!!! It gives me hope for Summer as my GPA is about the same as yours. Good luck on your TEAS. I am retaking mine at the end of January in hopes for a higher score. :snowman:

Hi all! I did not make it on the alternate list. My overall score was a 5.534. Does anyone know if students have been admitted in the past that were not on the alternate list if there was a slot available and all the alternates were called? Long shot I know, but you never know these days.

Hi! Thanks for starting this thread. Good luck to you! I also have a 3.814 GPA with a 86% TEAS score. Unfortunately I did not get into Spring 2011 but I am hopeful for Summer. Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I am planning to retake the exam in hopes for a higher score. My concern is the number of applicants considering the new rules. Last summer only had 81 applicants but I fear this summer will be much higher. Look forward to reading what everyone has to say!

Hi all! Has anyone heard if Mayo will be taking students for Spring 2011? If they do, I know it would open up more chances of us getting accepted. That would be more than half of the total number of applicants if 143 is correct. Also, has ASU mentioned the cutoff score yet? Any info would be great! I am sure everyone is waiting on pins and needles like me!
