i am a cna ii, i have not been working as a cna for 2 years now, but i am still certified. i am currently working as a sales rep. for the local newspaper. i would like to take your poem and use it on my full page that i will be publishing for cna week. i do need your permission to print this, since you are the writer. i think it is beautiful. please email me at [email protected] to let me have permission to use your poem. thanks to mercy's nursing assistants: you have no idea-- how you touch the lives of others with all that you do-- for our sisters and our brothers and our mothers and our fathers-- of our families and our friends you say it's just your job-- but that really makes no sense it's all the extra things that you do-- when you think they're all unseen like when you go beyond your line-of-duty-- it's those things that i mean so i'm writing you today-- to let you know just how we feel not just me, but from all the nurses-- as their feelings i promised to reveal it's hard to put it all in words-- i really don't know where to start so this poem i have to offer-- as god gives you a place in his heart we really couldn't do our jobs without you-- and i'm speaking on everyone's behalf god bless you all--you are appreciated-- from the entire nursing staff thank you! anonymous author.
