  1. Congrats! I've been a nurse at Childrens just shy of three years. Just transferred to trauma ICU. First day was yesterday. Look forward to meeting you!!
  2. No, I'll be on C5, renal. My two friends will be working with you.
  3. That's great! A hard decision. It would be difficult for me too. Parkland would offer you lots of experience and you could write your ticket anywhere, but children's would also give you tons of experience. Good luck on your decision.
  4. That is not needed. If genuinely worried, provide the link and offer suggestions on how a new graduate could protect themselves and help improve the facility.
  5. No, the earliest was goingto be today. Me, nor two others that I know interviewed heard anything. Boo! It'll be next week.
  6. My email back said "hope to know something tomorrow afternoon". It has to be they are waiting on people to accept or not.
  7. You're so funny. I thought the same thing! I'm really hoping this happens for me....or maybe it's just the waiting that makes me want it more! Oh well. Good Luck!
  8. Did you call her or email her and hound them? Maybe they are waiting back on first round of offers to see who says no/yes.
  9. I'm getting wigged, b/c if I don't hear today, then I have to wait till next week! I mean they said hopefully by today! ;(
  10. No, I have not gotten a No yet...just waiting.....and waiting...and waiting...
  11. I had the group that was a clinical manager in the ER, male ***** a Nurse III who was a ******, and a younger male nurse whose name starts with a *****...very nice. He had ********** hair.
  12. I am guessing that since there were four interview panels interviewing candidates that the panels send their hires to the recruiters, so depending on when your panel releases their pics, then you'd get an email saying yes or no. So, possibly, even if we have the same recruiter, we still will be notified at a different time.
  13. I have that same recruiter.
  14. All that is true and was what I was told. I did video last week and have yet to hear.
  15. I felt good about mine, but am worried I didnt' convince them. I wonder if it's rolling as in they are contacting one by one or they already have contacted everyone they are hiring
  16. Don't live downtown...too pricey. I live up 65 (central expressway) in Allen and I work at Children's, right next door to Parkland. It takes me 30 minutes to and from. No biggie.
  17. I recently interviewed for Parkland's ER this last Monday and was told I would hear some news by Friday. There are not ER threads for Parkland that are current, so I thought I would start one. Anyone interview? Anyone heard anything yet or received an offer? Thanks!! Best of Luck!!
  18. Ok, I'm really confused. All these people getting emails of offer are for L/D or ER. I was told ER comes out Friday. Are you getting offeres for ER already? Also, meraki 86....is this your first Children's CVICU interview via phone you have? I saw on another thread. What did they say? I had a recorded video interview for CVICU last week and am waiting to hear about a 2nd interview in person. I am a current CMCD employee. Thanks for any info.
  19. So, is it a phone call and email or just email? Do they seem like mass emails or individually types per person?
  20. I spoke to my clinical instructor who worked their for 20 years and the director of my program. One said that they've always said the whole "or you pay pack $20000" and it never really is stuck too. They cannot legally force anyone to pay back $20000 unless it had something to do with tuition reimbursement or outside hospital training. I believe they say this also becuase they historically have a high turnover rate from burnout and fatigue. I'd love to work their but am so scared about what would happen if I ended up not liking it.
  21. I had my interview with them for ER on Monday. They told me we'd know by Friday. I work at Children's but am really drawn to the ER. I haven't been offered any positions w/ Children's yet, so I'm not sure what will happen.
  22. I am in the first semester. I got in with 15 but we had some fourteens get in. Good luck ya'll!
  23. Agree. Enough with the guilt already...got plenty of that from my mother. Although I do agree that patients are number one, it IS NOT your job nor are you paid to keep the ship running. Stand your ground and respectfully decline. Do not ignore your phone....or just turn it off. 15 years ago people had to wait till we were home so we could answer the home phone (remember those? LOL)....
  24. There were approx. 361 applicants this year for the fall. I start in the fall and had 15 points with one prereq not done yet. Keep your grades up, and do well on teh PSB. Don't take any flack and don't believe ANY rumors. It's all untrue. :)
