RN Health Coaching
I had seen the Wellness Inventory wheel a few years ago and totally loved it. And then forgot about it, because I couldn't pay for it at the time. This year I found Wellcoaches, and it was for health care professionals. So, they had an easy 5 month payment plan and I started it. Wellcoaches is great. I was actually planning on adding a training on for vision boards, but then I found the Wellness Inventory tool again, and something just drew me to it again. Actually both trainings are a little different. With Wellcoaches, they are an EXCELLENT training ground for coaching. As I have started Wellness Inventory, this is a wonderful assessement tool, and training program as well. The difference is, I am learning about and on myself with the Wellness Inventory. Quite eye opening. Quite life changing actually. I am learning to breathe, and I am really working on myself. As I said before, to be involved in health and wellness I believe we don't need anything else to tell someone what they need to be doing. As far as coaching, we really (at least me) don't know how to help someone bring out what is already in them (everyone really knows deep down what they need to do) and help them get from point A to point B. This is where the coaching training comes in. So, I like both. There are others out there to choose from. These are the only two I am intimately familiar with. I am also a Christian, and there is a coaching program with some training available. There are programs for being a life coach. All fun! Hope that helps.

$200 for 90 minutes?
I don't remember when I started with them, but they are very specific to certain items or specialities. If you do not meet what they are looking for in a particular survey, it will not let you go any further. I had to go back and find the website, but it is www.jramednet.com. Good luck

Seeking info for transition into Holistic Nursing
I am trying to do a pilot study on my oncology unit for a tranquility room that would be for staff and caregivers. I am on the research council, and what I am trying to do is bring some of these therapies into the hospital setting as integrative care.. That seems to be a slow go, but I am just "dripping" the ideas, not trying to "flood them"...So hopefully they will be open...

How to become a rn health coach??
There isn't a particular program for RN certified coaches. However, there are a few good programs. I have taken Wellcoaches, and in the middle of Wellness Inventory. I am not advertising for either one, (no monetary thing here), but they have good programs. We really are already educated as to how to help people with their health, the missing link for me was to learn HOW to get a client from point A to point B. It really is all about letting the client set their goals, and not you telling them what to do.

RN Health Coaching
Wellcoaches has a program for nurses, and so does Wellness Inventory. I have completed Wellcoaches, and I am in the middle of Wellness Inventory. I recommend both. I live close to Duke as mentioned in the previous post, and it looks like a good program.
