TX BON can't process exam application because of compact state
Hi! I heard if you are a US citizen they will waive the local license but I'm not sure about immigrant status. You can call the TX BON customer service they're really nice and will help you with all your inquiries. After I completed all the requirements in CGFNS, it took about 2 weeks for them to forward my CES report to TX BON. Then I registered to Pearsonvue and received my ATT after couple weeks.

You're welcome. It depends how fast his school and PRC will complete the verification forms. Once CGFNS received all the requirements, they will send the report straight to TX BON. Mine took about a week...

Don't be nervous! I know it's a bit frustrating but it will come Just relax and focus on your studying. It's my fault too that's why it took that long. I made bad choices and a lot of procrastrinations lol I didn't have any problems with TX BON... they we're really helpful to me. As I said I only waited for a month to receive my ATT. Keep praying and just hang in there! If you have any questions I'll be gladly to help you :) Goodluck!

TX BON can't process exam application because of compact state
Hi! It's a long story I came in Nebraska couple months after I passed my NLE in the Philippines. I didn't take my oath which is the primay requirement for the Philippine RN license. I took my oath in the Philippine embassy in Chicago, that took about 6 months alone because of money and processing time. I applied first in CA BON and unfortunately they started the concurrecy issues for foreign nurses. I fought for it for 6 months because most of my friends who graduated with me got their ATT without those requirements that are totally absurd! And I found out here in allnurses.com that I was not alone and CA BON changed their policies for foreign nurse graduates. There's no way I can afford to enroll on those classes and clinicals that CA BON requires. So I gave up and started all over again in Nebraska which was my primary state of residence. I had to submit CGFNS certification in NE BON which requires to take CGFNS exam and TOEFL exam. I was working full time as a Nurse Tech at that time so I failed first time I took the CGFNS exam It was holiday season and planned to reapply for it the following year. I kept procrastrinating, I didn't want to deal with it for a while and I hate the frustrations! After a year I got the courage to retake CGFNS exam and I passed the second time! :) But before I scheduled my TOEFL exam my husband was in jeopardy to lose his job so he requested to be relocated here in TX before their company will shut down. I withdrew my application in NE and started all over again in TX. It was the best decision I've made on this journey... after a month we moved here I got my ATT!!!!! On July 9th, 2013 I took the NCLEX exam and PASSED!

Filipino Graduate Applying for RN license in Texas
Hi eezee! I was in your situation couple months ago and last July 9th I passed the NCLEX exam! Texas BON didn't require me to take english or CGFNS exam. I just applied for CGFNS CES and waited for them to send it to TX BON. I started the exam application online in TX BON while waiting for the CGFNS CES report. Here's the link of the online application: https://txapps.texas.gov/app/orig/index.jsp?AGENCY_NAME=bne&CONFIG_ID=BNE_EXAM&LICENSE_ID=01 I took the Texas nursing jurisprudence examination the next day after I filled out the application. You have to pass the jurisprudence exam prior to licensure. I didn't study about it because it's open notes and they will give you ample of time to answer the questions. I searched all the answers in the internet and their website lol One week after they received my CGFNS CES report I received my ATT! I studied for two months using KAPLAN on demand which helped me a lot!

Thanks for all your replies! I just talked to a TX BON representative, they told they can't give me ATT until I change my address to Texas. My concern is if my application will be on hold because I already started processing all the requirements. The CES report cost $350 and I don't want to waste that money. She told me everything will proceed and be accepted which gives me a relief! She just can't guarantee if they will accept my explanation letter. Now I am just waiting what the board has to say and crossing my fingers that they will waive it and give me an ATT soon...- TX BON can't process exam application because of compact state
Hi everyone! I am a foreign nurse and graduated in 2010. I have been applying for my ATT for almost 3 years now. I started in CA but because of the concurrency issue they rejected my application. I applied next to Nebraska (my home state), passed the CGFNS but failed the TOEFL. My CGFNS CP is expiring soon and we are planning to move in Texas on May because my husband got an offer to work in Houston. Instead of renewing my CGFNS CP for Nebraska I started a new CGFNS CES application for Texas to avoid the endorsement fees and waiting time. Last friday, Texas BON wrote me and told me that they can't process my application, because either my home address is Nebraska, have declared Nebraska as my primary state of residence, or both. Anybody have the same experience that I have? Please, please share your experience... Do I have to hold a Texas address before they could process my application even I sworn and declare that I intend to practice in Texas? I feel like there's no hope for me and it's so frustrating and stressful... Your input and information will help me a lot... thanks!- Filipino nurse dilemma in registration abroad

Hi pinx23... I made my own SPA :) I can send to your email my template if you want just pm me your email address. You will get the certificate of board rating and passing in PRC. Send an authorization letter attached with the copy of your ID's to your representative. Always give your representative an authorization letter in every transaction you'll make in PRC. You will bring the original copy of certificate of board rating and passing to Chicago PI embassy together with your SPA. They will give you all the signed and sealed documents at the same day you'll have your oath taking. So wear a nice clothes for picture taking Then send all those documents to your representative. I'll be glad to help you if you have anymore questions :)- How to apply for CGFNS??
Hi guys I'm a Filipina from NE too :) I applied in CA BON last Jan. 2011 but end up applying for CGFNS Certification Program here in NE. CA BON required me so many documents that are impossible to provide so I gave up and start over again in CGFNS. I hope you could email me pinx23 and share your experience with me... I rarely see Filipinos around here and hopefully we could get in touch :) Thanks and goodluck to you application... - TX BON can't process exam application because of compact state
