What is your New Year Fitness Plan?
I'm interested! What a great idea. The past 4 months, I've been applying to RN programs, taking 3 classes, working about 30-35 hrs per week. I stopped exercising altogether since the summer. I wasn't exercising much in the first place .. gain about 15 pounds since then! I feel kind of sad about it... Anyways, I hate going outside in the winter! It unmotivates me to walk or do much. I bought a set of DVDs from Beach Body called Brazil Butt Lift Workout ( I know! Silly name.) The program is about 6 weeks of working out with the DVDS. I'm starting my RN program next week, and our Winter Session (just 2.5 credit units) is also 7 weeks. I quit my job, so I have no excuse not to exercise. Now comes the challenge in trying to eat well, and not pig out after exercising. I would like to walk maybe 15-20 min each day in addition to the BBL. I listen to podcasts, and it gives me an excuse to relax and ignore chores for an hour. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Oceanside Nursing Programs for Fall 2011
Hi EmeraldStar, I was not aware there was a point system for Mira Costa. LOL. I tossed out my app last week knowing that I am headed elsewhere. I didn't even bother to look at it again, so I don't know what exactly my points were. I know I was missing Speech class. I finished Speech this week, so it was technically "in-process" at the time of my app. Micro - A, Anatomy - A, Physio - B, English - B, Stat - A. No CNA or certified jobs like that. No volunteer experience. Not bilingual. Hopefully that may help you narrow down what my potential point score might have ended up being.

Oceanside Nursing Programs for Fall 2011
I think college level Statistic courses may be counted to take the place of Intermediate Algebra. If it is a college level stat, it seems that most programs count that as more advanced than Intermediate Algebra (I was told that at Riverside CC). I applied to Mira Costa's RN program, and my Elementary Stat/Probability that I took at another California community college was accepted. If you are wondering, no I was not accepted into Mira Costa's RN program. :smackingf
