the accel program I went through was hard to get into and very strenuous, you will not see much of your family for the time you are in school, and the school i went with requires you now to be a cert cna prior to starting the program

I can totally empathize, I recently started my orientation on a incredibly busy tele (70 plus ) floor.. aafter a few weeks it was obvious that my preceptor and I werent a good fit .... I went to my unit director ...luckily I have been given a new preceptor who is excellent and is training me correctly, but I am 7 weeks into orientation... and I am basically starting from ground zero ... I am terrified that I wont be up to speed in the next 3 weeks they have allotted and ready to carry 5-6 patients.... I am sorry you had this happen to you, I know how hard the new grad job situation is.. i wish you the best of luck

Unfortunately the Texas BON wont let you apply for your Texas RN lic until you actually reside in Texas... and then make sure you have everything , transcripts, fees paid, etc take care of, and check back frequently .. they may tell you one day everything is fine then the next day there is a major issue... good luck

yes as I already mentioned in my initial post I have been applying for any and all areas.. but they all want the same thing.. experience... i did acctually have two OR interviews.. one they advertised as no exp required and after the interview process went back and changed the req online and called me back and said they decided to make it a one year min. exp req... 3 mos later those positions are still open... the other interview , I got called, scheduled and had to take time off from my present job, travel 1 1/2 hours away , when I got there the person interviewing me had someone in her office.. I was told to wait at the desk.. 20 minutes later I was told she had to go to a meeting.. I should call back later and reschedule.. since then she has been un reachable. imagine that..

I graduated with my BSN in May and got my RN lic in Aug, I have been working since June filling in for a person on maternity leave as a scrub tech which is what I did for 6 years prior to getting my BSN ( I did an accelerated BSN since I already had another BS ) ... I would like to stay in the OR, but I am having difficulty even getting interviews for any type of position ... I moved to another state after I graduated ( I think had I stayed where I went to school I would have had no problem finding a job since the school I went too had a great reputation ) but.. I left to be closer to my aging father... every hospital in my area seems to want you to do an internship and they only have a few of them available.. in fact the hospitals tell you .. no new grads... how are you supposed to get experience if no one will hire you ? ... is this happening everywhere ?
