NOT ONLY COLLEGE AGE PEOPLE WERE RECRUITED -- OLDER PEOPLE, PEOPLE FOR SECOND CAREERS AND NON TRADITIONAL STUDENTS, AND MEN WERE TARGETED ---- HOW MANY PEOPLE GAVE UP JOBS AND TOOK OUT LOANS TO ATTEND NURSING SCHOOL?? NOW ALL WE HAVE ARE LOAN PAYMETNS AND DEBT IT SEEMS LIKE AN ORGAINZED DECISION AND COORDINATED EFFORT TO --- NOT HIRE NEW NURSES - IS THAT WHAT THE UNIONS WANT? IS THAT WHAT THE NURSING ORGANIZATIONS ARE ADVOCATING FOR? SO WHAT? ARE THE 2009 AND 2010 NURSES TO BE PASSED UP AND LEFT TO GO BANKRUPT IS THE HEALHTCARE BILL PART OF THE PROBLEM? HOW ABOUT SOME STIMULUS MONEY DIVERTED TO HELP HOSPITALS FULLY STAFF AND HIRE AND TRAIN NEW NURSES. WHERE ARE ALL THE NEWS REPORTS ABOUT THE JOB SHORTAGE FOR NEW NURSES THAT ARE BEING SHUT OUT OF THE JOB MARKET! WRITE TO YOUR YOUR STATE REPS AND YOUR CONGRESSPERSON AND SENATORS, AND STATE NURSING ASSOCIATIONS AND NEWS ORGAINAZATIONS. Don't think your years of cna experience will be respected and count either - it won't :heartbeat Sorry to be negative, but my family sacrificed and went into DEBT for nothing - they have a JOB SHORTAGE now! Continue your education? Are you for real why - so a person can be even more in debt wihtout a job people sacrifice to attend school and many older students and second carreer students take the two year asn so they may begin working --while they continue their educatioin at least that is the lie they are told when considering nursing school. We all don't have the luxury of being endless students - the nursing associations and the nursing schools are frauds!

Beware!! There are NO Jobs for NEW NURSES in the NYC area. All the jobs posted want experience - some even say NO New Nurses at this time. The NYSNA and the nursing schools are still advertising that there is a need for nurses and they are still taking your tuition money --- yet there are No jobs for New nurses. Most require a BSN, including many nursing homes - evan though all take the same NCLEX test!' Why are two year schools allowed to operate? It really is Fraud on the part of the Nursing schools and the Nursing community, Nurses "Eat their young! and "nepotisim" is the norm --- even with the highest qualifications unless your Aunt is a Nurse at the facility don't count on getting an interview lo!l There are reports about the NURSING JOB SHORTAGE FOR NEW NURSES ALL OVER THE COUNTY NOW!:crying2:

No jobs for New nurses in the New York City area. nursing school is a fraud. all new nurses in the nyc area should contact the nysna and their congress rep. And state attorny general--- it is fraud! they keep advertising a need for nurses and the schools take your money--- why are two year schools allowed to operate if no one will accpept an asn degree once you are licensed? We all take the same nclex test---- There are reports of the lack of jobs for new nurses all over the county now.
