believe me i've tried. my boss will schedule me anyway she isn't the one that has to deal with it. my boss actually drops her meds off and won't even come down the driveway we have to walk up and get the so that the client doesn't see her van in the driveway. to me that's a little pathetic. and i really hate to say this but one time my boss actually told me to up her oxygen so she would pass out. i don't care how crazy she is i could never do that.

actually i have another question. i have another client who literally cries everytime you walk out of her sight. and the family wants you to clean while you are there, nothing major just light housekeeping, but she immediately starts praying for help and asks why noone cares if she dies. know that if i negate the house work she won't cry because i've done that before but the family gets very angry if you don't do thesse specific chores and i have explain what she does and they just say shes fine and will calm done eventually but i found i start to lose my patients very quickly when i can't even go to use the restroom without her starting up. any advice?

it took me about 6 months to find that job. i probably should have quit but i really needed the money and boy it was great money. now i have amazing clients maybe a couple that shall we say aren't all there.but it's kind of cool meeting all different types of people.

here is the thing one of my clients i take care is entirely too abusive. i've been with her for 2 years and it is still just as crazy there. she is a very heavy woman and we have to use a hoyer lift for transfers she is extremely abusive and i emphasize EXTREMELY!!!!! one day i take her to her kitchen to eat breakfast, by the way she has already called me every name in the book and pulled my hair kicked me punched me bit me and spit a big honking wad of toothpaste in my face, i star getting her stuff ready and notice that there is a knife missing and i thought maybe it wasn't set out with the rest of her utensils. so she finishes eating we take her back to her room, oh there is 2 of us there and just so you know she likes me more than the other girl i'm with, get her in her chair and she stabs me right in the leg with that knife not very deep just enough to break the skin. so i call my boss and tell her and she straight laughs and me and says that's just how she is. i was so angry and couldn't do anything about it. so about 30 minutes later the woman rings her little bell, not kidding she rings this little bell when she wants something it's awful i even hear it in my sleep, because she dropped her remote i bend down to get it and that lady snips my ponytail OFF with a pair of scissors. again my boss doesn't do anything and i was still there for 10 more hours. what should i have done?

Now me personally i work with women all the time that are nasty and very arrogant. i do not ever hesitate to tell them that they are being rude or what not mainly because i learned a long time ago if you have an opinion on anything say it or don't complain later. if your preceptor won't do her part and intervene then you have three choices: 1. don't say anything and take it with a grain of salt, because there is just going to be rude people in the world. 2. let that person know that what they are doing is not necessary, as nicely as you can. 3. just don't talk to her if she thinks she is mr. bigshot let her figure whats going on by herself. but that is just my opinion. good luck with it anyway you go.

i don't understand the issue about this person writing "retarded" you can clearly see they weren't being hurtful in the way they wrote it. oh and lol could also mean lots of love as well as lots of laughter and laughing out loud. just thought i would throw that out there. and also the reason everyone texts the way they do is for me my blackberry only allows me to write so many characters per text so sometimes you have abbreviate a little. but i agree i'm only 24 and the generation below us is absolutely ridiculous with the slang and, for lack of a better word ghettoness.
