yes working in Hawaii is great, it would be perfect if it wasn't for the low pay. People are all really nice, it's beautiful, food is great, ect. Just wish I was making more, I'm barely getting buy with all my bills right now....

Hi there! I have been traveling with my family (husband and two small children) for about 6 months now. I have been to Pennsylvania and now currently in Maui. We went into this traveling this to try to get out of student loan debt before our children start school. I would be so grateful if all the experienced travel nurses our there can tell me where they have made the most money (take home pay per week) and how much they made. example: Pennsylvania: $900 per week Hawaii: $650 per week *we have the company find our housing, so we do not include that in our take home pay. Thank you! We need to get out of debt!!!!

"been there, done that" - I don't know who you are traveling through but I am currently on assignment in Maui and I am getting housing paid for and making only $26 an hour.

I was told by a recruiter that you don't have a tax home that you can still receive the stipend but it would be taxed.

If you take the housing stipened and do not have a 'tax home', doesn't a large portion of that housing money get taxed? Is it still worth taking the stipened after it's been taxed?

BanysaverRN, did you receive a verification email or letter before your official contract in the mail?

I have never received any verification email, nor any award letter in the mail. My debt to income ratio is 110% Could I still be awarded being that there is another week before the deadline sept 30th? Does it make a difference how soon you get your application mailed in before the deadline in march?
