I live in Illinois, so all we have to worry about is a blizzard- rarely happens. I'm a RN & I love my occupation, but family comes first- especially my children. People are saying to just drop off her toddler in GA. & go back to the keys & risk your life working as a CNA. The toddler is going to be scared & want his mommy. Dad is a Policeman & has to stay- so dangerous.. dads already risking his life & doing his duty. this child could end up being an orphan in the end. I say the CNA mom should with out a doubt evacuate with her toddler! If your employer does not understand this- no worries, you'll find work after. Stay safe

lol!! I know the feeling. After I became nurse, my dad was proud and he use to tell everyone, including the cashier, other nurses etc... " my daughter is a nurse, she's a regular nurse" (RN) he actually thought the RN stood for regular nurse. I tried many times to correct him- finally just gave up & accepted the title! He has passed away 3 years ago & I think about him and the regular nurse every time i see my ID badge, lol!

They are even doing this for pt coming in with uncontrolled HTN- probably the last thing they need- more volume??

LOL~ Congrats. You are a nurse! I know the feelings you went through. I also took the NCLEX this past summer. The computer shut off at 75 Questions and I was convienced that I failed. I left the building and got into my car and have no idea how I actually got home but I arrived in my driveway safely. I spent the next 48 hrs waiting for the embarrassment of failure. When my 48 hr wait was over I logged on and payed my early notice fee... said a prayer... and looked up to discover that I PASSED!!! I think you and I are simply over-achievers and tend to not believe in ourselves. But we should and perhaps things will change for us and we will start to believe. Once again congrats! Celebrate! you did it!
