I sent CA's official "Request for Transcript" form to ALL of my schools, as well as that school's specific transcript request form. And I went to a looooooot of schools. Sent it in for all of them, including my original 1st degree years ago in Fine Arts...

I got it today! 9 weeks total from application date. I was actually shocked and was expecting to be waiting another few weeks, but I was in the 'Now Processing Date' timeframe, so I just kept checking. Checked 1st thing when I woke up this AM and it was there; my eyes were half closed so I had to log out and log back in several times to make sure it was real. :0) Thanks for the info!!!

So....when the processing times is listed as 10-12 weeks what exactly does that mean? 10-12 weeks total??? I assumed that since I submitted my app on Feb 9, I should be receiving my license somewhere April 22-May 6, which is 10-12 weeks from Feb 9. However you'll notice on the website it'll say something like 'Now processing applications from from the weeks of...Feb 1-16', and I'm being told that that 'Now processing' date is just when they open your file/start processing it, and it takes 10-12 weeks from THEN to get the license!!! Which means 6 months total???

Riverside Community College Spring 2011
thanks leslie! yeah i remember one of the advisors telling me that as well when it came to chemistry because i had taken a chem prep course and then regular chem, that they would take the higher grade. but then i was thinking well... does any anthropology course count? do both of mine meet their requirement so they'll pick the highest, or does only one of them meet therefore that's obviously the grade the grade that they take ya know? *sigh* it's just so nerve-wracking waiting...! trying to figure out whether or not i should be nervous in the meantime but seeing what chance i have! how are you liking the program??

Riverside Community College Spring 2011
hi guys. congrats to everyone who got into spring 2011 at rcc; hope you're enjoying it! just wondering how you guys were calculating your points - did they give them to you at some point and i missed it? or are you just going off of your grades and personal calculations? my thing is, i have a bachelors degree so when it comes to figuring out my gpa, i've taken two anthropology courses for instance and i don't know which class they're using to calculate my gpa and therefore what grade. so my total application points could be anywhere from 75 to 85. also i've found conflicting points for the TEAS test. the powerpoint on their website says i would receive 25 points, while the ADN info sheet in pdf that has a date of march 2011 on it says i would receive 30 points... ( i just took it friday and got an 80%. :0/) so i was just curious as to how you all figured out your points. thanks in advance! and good luck to you all!

when do i take the TEAS test?
hello! newbie here to this forum but have so far found it to be very helpful! here's my situation: i'm taking my final pre-req (A&P II) thus applying to my local RN program for the spring 2011 session. our application period is from sept 1st till oct 1st, and i'm working on the (very short/abrupt 3 page) application right now and getting ready to submit online - via email which is the only way they accept it. when do i take my TEAS test? this is what the school's website says: Due to the ongoing budget crisis in California RCC cannot offer the TEAS test to all eligible applicants. Only applicants with the highest science GPAs will be invited to take the TEAS at RCC. If you are not invited to take the TEAS at RCC, you may contact other Nursing schools... and: A Test for Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) in basic math, English, reading, science is required for all applicants prior to enrollment in the nursing program. so I'm confused - do i send in my application and wait for further instructions on taking the TEAS, or take the TEAS before i send in the application?? while i'm sending in the application...? the 'invited' portion threw me off because i was thinking well they must have all my info already in order to choose whether or not to invite - so after i apply, plus it said prior to 'enrollment' not application. yet on the actual application it asks: Have you successfully passed the TEAS test with a adjusted individual score of at least 67? and i know that the TEAS score is included in the point system they use to accept/deny students so... i can't figure out when the heck to take it! any help is greatly appreciated! sorry for the long winded post; hope it made sense!
