  1. Hello everyone. I am going to be a RN shortly, looking to relocate from the US to Canada. I was reading this info earlier on the Canada immigration website.: Does below mean I am only considered temporary in Canada? I thought I could get a permanent working visa under NAFTA? If anyone could pls clarify...thanks! Where to Apply: NAFTA/CCFTA Professionals may apply for an employment authorization at a Port of Entry (except for citizens for Chile), at a visa office abroad, or from within Canada if the applicant is already in Canada as a visitor. Duration: The duration of NAFTA/CCFTA Professional status is for an initial period of one year. An unlimited number of one-year extensions may be subsequently obtained, provided that the employment is truly "temporary" in nature
  2. I was looking into the accelerated bsn online program at St Francis, has anyone been to this college? My state, Minnesota, doesn't recognize U of P, so that college is out. Does anyone else have any suggestions for good colleges to do the adn to bsn online? I would prefer an accelerated program, like St Francis, but was wondering if this was the best school, or are there other colleges that offer 1 yr bsn from adn? Thank you.
  3. Lordy, lordy...i just got a call from the admissions dept at my college, and they asked me why wasn't I enrolled in my clinicals, and why was I enrolled only for my nursing lecture class? How embarassing! See, that is what I get for not having a counselor and registering online...LOL...so I just answered my own question I asked about why I don't have alot of hours in my Fall semester. LOL. I already am goofing up, and I haven't even started the term yet. someone knock some sense into me and give me a cyber slap pleeeeaaasseeee! HaHa.:chuckle
  4. is your clinical 1 in school? My nursing program starts this Fall, and I enrolled in nursing clinical 1, only on Mondays from 8:30am to 12:00pm. Does that sound kinda short to you....only one day a week, 3 and a half hours long? Are yours like that too? If not, how many days and hours will you go? (not including any pre-req courses)....TIA!
  5. I had to re-take Chem...the first time, i got a D, the second, an A (nicer instructor)....Please don't ever mention that word MOLES to me again! LOL. Good luck!!
  6. Does he have a website or anything? Great going, congrats!! :balloons:
  7. I couldn't do it. I took A&P 1 and Chemistry together, and failed chemistry (embarrasing "D")...i DID get a B in A&P1 tho! I re-took chemistry last year (summer) ALONE and got an A....I have a weak background in math, so that didn't help....and 4 kids to boot...that didn't help...so like the other posters said, if you don't work f/t and are pretty good at math and memorizing, go for it. :balloons:
  8. okay, you scared the living crap outta me, here.....LOL (only kiddn) :chuckle
  9. ummmmm..the number 1 reason is for the moola... second would be cause i'm a nurse to my 4 kiddos and my big baby husband, so why not get paid for it? :uhoh21: third is satisfaction of helping others (well...hopefully) :imbar
