Georgetown University ONLINE FNP...
Hello All! Is anyone currently enrolled into the FNP online program at Georgetown?? I appreciate any feedback or input on this program. I haven't met anyone enrolled in the course yet...and i was a bit nervous about applying...It's a great/prestigious school...and I would like to know more about it from a students perspective before I cough up 78,000 bucks... Thanks in advance!!! -Flower25

DNP in 2015? Forreal?
I need advice please!!!! So you recommend obtaining nursing experience before pursuing DNP? ( I currently have a BSN). I figured I might as well go from BSN-DNP....through an online program, I noticed you chose the online route. Since I'm in the military, active duty, I figured that would be the best route for me. I would appreciate your input. Thank you!!!

Passed on the 3rd time...Here's how!!!!
TinFL, I TRULY believe that knowing my content REALLY well helped me a lot...BUT definitely doing questions til I was blue in the face reinforced and gave me confidence. Hurst will definitely prepare you....if you study it well....and doing NCSBN questions reinforces it. Sounds like you are on the right track...study hard..you can do it! God Bless! Good luck!!!

Passed on the 3rd time...Here's how!!!!
thank you! the first time i did kaplan i was scoring around (question trainers) 43-45's...pretty low... :-( the third time i went back to kaplan i was scoring 60-68's on my questions trainers...i only did 5, 6, and 7 the third time because i figured i'd try the harder questioner trainers instead of starting with the easier ones. i personally think kaplan is a bit more difficult due to the obscurity of the questions they ask. nclex is more critical thinking but direct....don't know if i am making sense. i found that exam cram was very similar to nclex and ncsbn as well...they are the makers of the nclex so it makes sense. i feel kaplan likes to elaborate the question but it is still a good indicator....at least for me it was. like i said...i did the question trainers once i studied my content well and started answering ncsbn and exam cram questions. good luck and god bless!!!

Passed on the 3rd time...Here's how!!!!
Hello Everyone!! I would like to start off this thread by telling you all ....DO NOT GIVE UP!!! I took the Nclex 3 times! My first time: September, November, and February. The third time was a charm but it took a lot of studying and practice tests. I have tried everything Hurst, Kaplan, etc. But the reasons why I didn't pass the first two times was because I was not only unfamiliar with the type of questions on the NCLEX but I didn't study the core content correctly....therefore this is how I did it for the 3rd try..... -I studied Hurst until I knew the content VERY well, I did their remedial course and re-studied my weak subjects -Did at least 60 NCSBN questions a day -Completed the La Charity Leadership, Delegation, and Assignment book -Studied the Exam Cram -NCLEX RN AND the last week before the test I completed the Exam Cram Nclex RN PRACTICE QUESTIONS, which consists of 6 practice tests. -For pharm I studied the drug endings and answered the NCSBN pharm questions...I believe they have about 60 pharm questions you can practice. READ THE RATIONALE for each questions you complete! Also the exam cram book has a good pharm section as well. - I decided to resort back to Kaplan practice tests towards the end just to see if my scores were in the 60s and thats how I gauged myself. I guess you can say I jumped everywhere...but my anxiety took over and I had to make sure I covered myself from all angles. I used many resources but by the test day (22Feb) I was confident enough....I received 75 questions....14 SATA and 2 math questions from what I can remember. The questions DEFINITELY seemed waaaaayyy easier then the first 2 times....so I guess my study approach worked. I also prayed A LOT. Therefore....you all can do it! DO NOT GIVE UP!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL and GOOD LUCK!! If there are any questions plz do not hesitate to message me! Thanks!

Has anyone tried NCSBN for review?
NCSBN is good for question/answers....I just wish it had more of them! Their content is vague... :-(

I've now failed NCLEX-RN twice....
I feel the same...I too failed the NCLEX for the 2nd time (11NOV2010). What a horrible and embarrassing feeling! I ran out of time....i believe I was on number 240ish....Maybe if I hadnt run out of time I could have passed. I studied with hurst material which is super great, davis 2010 Q&A, and NCSBN. Now I just need to practice on my timing skills! Good luck and God bless to all!

Hey!! I did it! I am an RN!! WooHoo!!
