is anyone here attending boyce's orientation tomorrow? if so, do you know if it is really supposed to last from 5-10 pm? that seems so long! also, do clinicals start for everyone the first week of classes? thanks!

Jasoninpa--Do you think financially it is cheaper to complete ccac's program and then complete an rn-bsn program before going for your master's? Ultimately, I'd like to be a NP. I know that Pitt has an rn-msn program, but is it frowned upon to not have a bsn? It sounds like you're hoping together your msn also?

Jubileejoy--if you don't mind me asking, how are you making your decision between CCAC and Pitt's accelerated program? I'm in the same situation and I'm SO confused about what to do!

Hey everyone! I recently got accepted to Marymount's accelerated program to start in the Spring, also! Congratulations to all of you :) k_moran--I'm having trouble finding the facebook page. Does it normally pop up when you type it into "Search"?

Well then maybe they will send the letters out Friday so we get them on Saturday! :) What program did you apply to?

I heard that this happens every semester--they give a date that acceptance letters will be sent out and they're always about a month late. It's so frustrating!!

jubileejoy--I applied to Pitt's program for Spring 2011 in June and heard from them in August that the Spring 2011 program was full even before I applied. They moved my application to be reviewed for Fall 2011, and I found out a few weeks later that I was accepted. They aren't as quick as some other schools to answer back to you but they WILL give you a better idea of the status of your app. if you contact them. Are you applying for Fall 2011 also?

which of CCAC's programs did you apply to pookalook?

i applied to 2 accelerated BSN programs also because i just graduated with a different degree--Pitt and Marymount University (in Arlington, VA)...i think CCAC is where I really want to go but I'm supposed to send in my acceptances to either of these schools before we're going to hear from CCAC

I just called also and they said that they were hoping to get the acceptance letters out by the end of October but now it's looking like it will be the first week in November. Apparently this has been a problem that's gone on for a long time with CCAC--the other schools I've applied to had LATER deadlines and I've already heard from all of them!

Does anyone have any idea of the average GPA/PAX scores for students admitted into the fast-track program?
