Thanks farmerjen, I have found quite a few places on craigslist and am flying out in a couple weeks to check them out and hopefully sign a lease.

Can anyone offer any advice on where to live in Tucson? I want to be by campus but have no idea about neighborhoods/roommates. Thanks!

Yesterday I received a voicemail to call the college of nursing, so I did this morning. I got in! So good luck to those on the waitlist!!

I just called the college of nursing to try and find out when they would notify us if we are accepted off the waitlist and she couldn't say but did say it would be via phone call, not email.

Jacoba, how did you hear about the number of alternates? I couldn't seem to get information about the number of spots. Thanks!

I got waitlisted as well...I called the college of nursing to see what position and they said they weren't allowed to tell.

I got my acceptance packet today! RunMT I'm so surprised you weren't accepted right away....our stats were practically identical. Don't give up though, number 4 is a good position!!!! And I'm coming from out of state and will need a roomate:)

Vincent I don't think you should worry about your age. It's never too late to make a change in your life to do something you feel is more worthwhile.

Hi Gabby, I have a 9:05 interview and am driving to Tucson from southern CA. I'm going a day early to check out the campus and the city too!

I applied for this program...I have read through these messages and see that there are definitely mixed feelings about it, but I figure if I make it to the interview stage I can decide for myself. The program is new so there are bound to kinks to work out, but who knows, it might be awesome!

Dang sorry you have to take another micro class Run, but hopefully it will all be worth it when you're sitting in nursing class in a few months:) I really hope they didn't get 150 applicants! And that we all get in:)!!

Thanks Run, I really hope we learn soon rather than later as well. I've been to Flagstaff once and it was when I was twelve years old, so needless to say I am going to need to visit as well! I have similar stats to you, 95 on the HESI and 3.6 on the prereqs, and odd, but I got the exact same results for the personality tests. When I asked Gregg at NAU about the test he said those portions were included simply because they are short and they can see what learning styles students are partial too, but these results would not play a role in admissions.

Hi guys, I mailed my app in on Monday and took the HESI yesterday...what a long test!! I heard about NAU's program in December, so I made a rush to apply because it sounds so awesome. I really like the fact that you travel to different locations for the clinicals. Good luck to everyone! And does anyone know when in March applicants are notified? Thanks!

I haven't heard one way or the other yet either. Does anybody know anything about a waitlist? I would think they would email about that...

Hi Spacegirl, I'm number 44 of 60 on the waitlist for Sac ABSN, so that's not looking too good. UCLover, you should call USF as Spacegirl suggested, I have called several times about application details and they look it up quickly and can help you over the phone. Also Spacegirl I heard it was 6 weeks after the deadline we should start hearing back which would be the Friday of Thanksgiving week so we'll see!

Yes, I applied to the Sacramento SMU campus. They sent out emails last week but I don't know about the other campuses. Thanks for the info about the USF notification dates. Goodluck girls, hopefully we all get in:)

I'm on the waitlist for the ABSN at Samuel Merritt but other than that no news....does anyone know when USF notifies applicants? I know the app is due on Friday and I was thinking we would find out the first part of November, but that seems too quick. Good Luck Everyone!!

Hi Ashley and Spacegirl, I applied to Samuel Merritt as well, but for the ABSN degree in Sacramento. I had a 3.0 in college but my post-bac grades have been better. After graduating I worked as a chemist so I took a CNA course to gain nursing experience. I am finishing my final prereq (human phys) this fall. I am also looking to apply at the UCLA entry MSN program, but I would prefer to start in January at USF:)
