  1. I pray for everything more importantly, I pray for a job that suits my needs, in the meantime I'll keep the stupid job that I havenow so that I can take care of my kids. I am a single parent with two kids to take care of, I dont hate my job, I just hate the way administration is treating me. First, I was hired with a certain salary then on my first day there they decided that they needed to cut my salary. Ok, I stuck with them because I needed the experience, now they cut my hours. I'm ******, I'm angry but I cant quit because I still have not found another job. Its very frustrating but, I have to do what I have to do for my kids. Sorry for going on and on about my situation, I guess I needed to vent.
  2. Thanks for the info, I'm going to do this as soon as I find another job.
  3. Hi gprocopio, Im in NY (live in long island, work in brooklyn). I have an interview next week in one of the hospital closed to my home, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you caliotter3, I figured any experience is better than no experience. One year is not so bad, I hope I dont have to be there for a year though, lol.
  4. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support. I am so glad that I have a place here on allnurses to share my experience as a new grad and hear from other nurses, and provide their support. I have applied for work in many hospitals, hopefully somrthing will come up soon. In the meantime, I have to stay and work for these people as I do have bills and two children to care for. I do remain optimistic that I will get something soon...thank you again for your support.
  5. Hi all, I'm new here, I am a new grad, I have worked as a dialysis tech for ten yrs. I was hired as a dialysis nurse, on the first day of work, my boss called me into his office to tell me that he wanted to change my salary that we had agreed on for a much less salary. I was very upset, I didn't even want to finish my day, but I'm a professional so I just sucked it up and work the day. I am a single parent, I have no money coming in however, working at that place to me is a waste of time. Its a long drive, short hrs, and no insurance, there's no benefit in going to that place, but I feel like I have no choice at this point. Please all of your advice/input is needed. Thank you!
