University of Rio Grande
I live in Perry County Ohio, but work in Columbus. I will probably going to Chillicothe for clinicals (I hope). I didn't have to take 13606 because of pathophysiology and extra biology classes I had to take at Hocking College. I'm getting nervous as 14606 approaches in 4 weeks!!! Where are you two from???

University of Rio Grande
Jen159...I don't know how to contact you, and also have a million questions for you. My orientation for Rio's online LPN to RN program is 10/29/10. I think I call Rio once a week with a new question. I just thought it would be great to have an actual contact that has done the program. Can you tell me how to email/contact you?

Role of LPN in OR
To the LPN first assist's.....are either of you certified as a first assist?? I'm a LPN and a scrub. I took the Tech in Surgery Certification through the National Center of Competency Testing. I know I've worked with a LPN First Assist before, but she is older, and I'm not sure how she did it. I'm in Ohio and would really like to figure something out. Thanks!

COTC LPN to RN
I did two qtr. of Hocking's night and weekend LPN to RN then quit. It's a good program if you have the time to dedicate to it. I couldn't work full time in col. then go there 2 nights a week plus clinicals every other Sat and Sun. on top of being a wife/mom. It takes 2 years to complete. Columbus State is too hard to get into so I think I'm going to stick with trying for OUZ and COTC. Good Luck to you!

COTC LPN to RN
I am a LPN looking to become a RN. I'm currently taking classes at CSCC to apply for the program there, OUZ or COTC. I went to Hocking college and have found it's hard to transfer because everywhere else has different prereq's. I am supposed to have tuition assitance Jan. 1 that I can use at COTC and not the other 2 places. This would require different prereq's....again. My thought is it's better to cut my losses now and work toward COTC since it would be less student loans. Anyone do the LPN to RN at COTC, and if so how hard is it to get in after you complete the prereq's??? Wish it wasn't so hard to transfer. I love my job and am not willing to give it up to go back to Hocking (5 days a week!)
