UMDNJ Accelerated BSN Fall 2011
HI Congrats on getting in. I will be living off campus. Does anyone want to exchange emails? Spoke to someone who completed the program and she also recommended sticking together, we will all need support from one another at some point in the 15 months.

I'm sorry I just saw your post now. How did it go? I hope you've contacted the dean, its always a good idea to speak to someone so they can give you direction. I hope all went well.

UMDNJ Accelerated BSN Fall 2011
They def look at the recommendation letters, at least that's what the admissions person told me when I called. He said that they look at the overall package and base their decisions on that. I'm sure you are in :) but you probably wont hear anything for a while since the Fall term is still some time away. Hope to see you on campus in the Fall.

No problem, and yes I agree I like things to happen fast as well. Which campus did you apply to?

UMDNJ Accelerated BSN Fall 2011
If you applied for the Summer program then you should have heard from them by now. The orientation for the Summer term was in March. I would call them and find out if they received all your information before the deadline (they are very strict about that). All of my paperwork, except for one recommendation letter, came in before the deadline for the Spring term and for that they automatically bumped my application to the Summer 2011 pile.

UMDNJ Accelerated BSN Fall 2011
Hey Everyone I was originally accepted into the Summer Accelerated BSN program but chose to defer my enrollment until Fall 2011. I would love to connect with people who will be attending the same program. Maybe we could connect via facebook or this site and create a support group. Waiting to hear from my future classmates!

Fairleigh Dickinson University- FDU Nursing
Thank you ggabri07, I got into UMDNJ but still waiting on status of my application to FDU. I am still deciding and still trying to figure out what makes more sense. I found out from UMDNJ that that particular program is considered a 5th year undergraduate and I can apply for Financial Aid, but that's not the case with FDU. After speaking to one of their advisers I was told that I would have to get creative with the money part because that program is considered as a graduate level of study. Is that really true? Would I need to look for a personal loan to pay for this? I am starting to freak out right about now and I'm very confused. I know the decision is mine but future bills are really stressing me out. I hope you are done with your studies and hope that you are in the RN profession :)

Fairleigh Dickinson University- FDU Nursing
Hi All, I have the same dilemma as ggabri07 and cannot decide between FDU and UMDNJ. Does one offer better job opportunity than the other? I have 2 more pre-requisites to take (economy and bioethics which are impossible to find at other schools) before applying for the ABSN. I am changing careers and I am 31 so accelerated is what I would like to do. I like UMDNJ for its cost but prefer FDU for its location (I life few min away). I am having a hard time finding an equivalent bioethics course without the 3000 price tag (as in FDU). So my question, for those of you who successfully completed the FDU program, was it worth it? Do you get better job offers in the job market, how is FDU better than UMDNJ-in your opinion? Please reply, any help is appreciated. Thanks!
