I've been attending Medgar for pre-nursing for the last year and a half. I just took the NLN exam yesterday. Overall, I've had a good experience there. The only issue I've had has been dealing with admin staff who don't like to answer simple questions and try and direct you to someone else. Having checked out other CUNY schools, I chose Medgar because the science building is awesome (built 3 years ago at a cost of $250m), the high pass rate for the NCLEX and the fact that it's 15 mins from my house. So apart from some admin staff needing a kick up the ass, I would recommend it.

Thanks. I will look into it but I'm not very hopeful, judging by my experience with city schools thusfar. Trying to get information is like pulling teeth and the websites aren't much help either. I'll soldier on. Thanks again

Hi. I'm new to the forum. I am intending to apply for pre-clinical nursing at CUNY for Spring 2011. However, having graduated high school in Ireland over 20 years ago, I have been told I need to have BIO 101 under my belt before I will be considered. Does anyone know of somewhere I can take this class outside of the CUNY system as I would like to get moving on it immediately? Thanks
