Yes, that is outdated. You have to constantly fish around the site to find the new information and if you sit with an advisor they would be able to explain to you everything you are confused about. Sheeco

Thanks so much ZeppHead8! It always help when you have encouragement. There are wonderful people on here and I hope it continues that way. I just hope that when I start the nursing program people will help each other out because it's not easy although it may be for some but to stick together. We should all be a family and not think one is better than the other because I strongly agree with u that we should be positive and it will send that same energy to our patients. Sheeco:nurse:

I am only telling you what I was told by the adviser with the first letter R. I don't believe its impossible because we haven't met everyone. What I care about is getting in and being surrounded by good-hearted classmates who help each other out and who are compassionate. This is most important to me. I wish everyone success as well. I got inducted to the PTK honor society on April 4th, it was a beautiful ceremony. I am very proud of my accomplishments. I have come a long way.

Hi, I checked the website http://www.mdc.edu/medical/Nursing/pdf/selectioncriteria2010/7-10%20%20ADN%20Generic%20admission-selection%20criteria%20_version2.pdf and it doesn't say that anywhere that I could find. I am doing very well in my classes but if you find that link please tell me I'd like to see whats changing since it seems something changes everyday. Thank you. Sheeco

I already signed up for the 6 week math class so I am just gonna take it. I am so tired of the back and forth at MDC. Thanks for letting me know though. I just wanna know if anyone is taking the HSC003 class online. Haven't had any responses on that. Sheeco

I went to there open house and the adviser said they accepted a student with a 3.0 gpa because she got a 96.4% on her TEASV test. So its possible if you score high. You should speak with an adviser. Sheeco

Well the adviser said that if you have a 3.0 and u get a 96% on your TEAS V they will accept that student and they actually did accept her. He said it depends on the balance. Although still trying to keep my GPA at a 4.0.

Well the professor told me that I could redo my midterm to get a higher score but everything is piling up and I don't see how I will have time to redo it. I have extra credit points but its still not enough. Lab I might get an A but lecture doesn't look like it. So worried about it! I am also planning on applying to the part-time program to because I just want to get in. Did you go to the open house? Sheeco:rolleyes:

I don't have twitter or any other social networking site because I don't like them. I will be finished in the Fall because I have been unemployed for 4 years now so I can only afford 2 classes at a time plus the cost of books. I am going to study for the TEASV in January and take it in Feb. so that if I don't pass a section or 2 I can redo in within the month and still give me time to apply before May 1st. That is what my adviser said was the best route for my situation. I take all my class at the North campus and online. This is my 4th semester so far. I was going to take MAC 1105 at 11:40am but switched it to 8am, tue. and thursday's. 6 weeks is short but hope I pass it since Math is not my strong suit and I need to score high. Have you been inducted into the PTK honor society? My ceremony is April 4th but I haven't heard anything from my classmates. When I first started I didn't know how the school worked so had I known this would have been my last semester. I am also applying for accelerated and generic and was thinking that I should also apply to the part time just to be on the safe side. What do u think? I am having a hard time with CHM1033 w/ lab, I am passing but barely. I just need a 90% so I am pushing for that. My professor is female and I take both classes on Saturdays. I pray that I pass with A's because I have a 4.0 and it would truly screw my GPA up. I worked so hard for it. The adviser said that the math class fits under the general requirements so the gpa would be factored in differently from my natural sciences courses. I am just tired of it and just want to start. I am taking Mac1105 on Tuesdays and Thursday at 11:40am. What about you? I took a&p2 already. Micro next semester for me because I didn't like any of the professors. So your going to take the TEAS V while in class? If you speak with an adviser they said u have to take HS00C if u plan to start in 2012. I posted it below and its on the website as well. Sheeco

I went to another college for statistics. I have my B.S. already but in another area. They consider me a transfer at MDC. I am just gonna take it. I am not good at math so testing out of it, ain't gonna happen for poor me. Can someone PM me with the professors they took that were good and if it was on campus at North or online? :) Also, anyone who took or is taking HSC003 Intro to health care can you PM me about what you do in the class and if anyone took it online. I want to know if this is an easy course or not. What should I expect? Anything please ! Thank you! :) Thank you to anyone who answers!

Ok, let me see if I got this straight. I could take the CLEP to test out of the MAT 1105 and if I fail it nothing will happen. I will just have to take the course. Another thing,with all the changes we no longer have to take the CPT right? Thanks for your time!

Great Idea about the Clep. I spoke with the world at MDC Medical and they all saod to take it because I need it for pharmacology. I spent hours going back and forth and I was defeated and have to take it. Math is not my strong point so if I take the CLEP they could put me in an even lower math right?

I have a question I hope you all could answer. I took Statistics at another school which is higher but the dean of nursing says I still must take MAC 1105. Did anyone have that problem and what are your views on this?
