So sorry you went through all that, but you're right, God is GOOD and when things look bad, he'll ALWAYS give you something better!!!

Kids are 9 and 4.

I am considering my first travel assignment for the summer....(I have done seasonal and registry in the past). I have a husband and two young kids (who are homeschooled already). Anyone have experiences traveling with the family? Pros and Cons? Also, anyone done any assignments in DC? Recruiter said this is the prime area for $$ and jobs. Thanks!!

I did registry all over the place, and here's my opinion: Best: Kingman Regional, Banner Gateway, Scottsdale Osborn, St. Joseph's, Banner Good Samaritan, Chandler Regional (but not ER). Worst: BY FAR, Havasu Regional (in Lake Havasu), Promise, and Select Specialty Hospitals----AWFUL!!!!, Maryvale, Phoenix Baptist, Mountain Vista Obviously totally biased opinions, but I've been to all of them!!!

I only know Abrazo through registry work that I did for about a year in the Phx area. I personally thought the majority of them were pretty awful and wondered why people worked full time in them. Everything just felt run down, equipment was outdated, supplies were cheap and hard to find....I just didn't like them. Arrowhead I only did some ICU shifts, which weren't bad. Arrowhead seemed to be a little better. I would recommend the Banner system, which I am currently in. In fact, watch the banner health openings because I'm leaving in a couple of weeks to start in home health, LOL!! Best of luck to you!!

I started as a new grad in 2005 at $20 in a rural hospital. 5 years later, in Phoenix, I'm at $32. Definitely NEVER seen $35 (or even $30, for that matter) for new grads!!

Hi all, I am a veteran (5+ years anyway) ER nurse. I have also done registry ICU and Telemetry and back before nursing school, worked in psych as a case manager. After realizing burnout from ER, (nights, increasingly dangerous patient loads, short-staffing) I just got hired for HH. I'm totally green as far as HH goes, but at least the skills will be (for the most part) comfortable for me and after doing both psych and ER, I'm not exactly ruffled by the unexpected. Any advice from HH vets??? I don't even know what HH nurses WEAR!!! Scrubs? Casual clothes? Is there mileage reimbursement from most places? Cell phone allowance? Is the laptop charting (like my company has) made the paperwork easier?? Just curious about your experience. THANKS!!
