  1. How amazing! I absolutely love France and Switzerland and I adore the French language. French has been in my life since I was a little girl as my grandmother is a retired French teacher and my step dad also spoke it fluently. I have been to both France and Switzerland and really admired both countries. Learning French is my life long goal and I long to live in France or Switzerland one day and work over there as a nurse/ nurse practitioner. I just got accepted into my nursing school and will be graduating with my bachelors of science in Nursing in the spring of 2013, so I still have a while to go before I even have my licensing. I have been learning French and I was minoring in it in at my university for a while, but the nursing school has made me drop the minor and focus only on nursing This throws a monkey wrench into my plans as now I can no longer focus on my French and I won't be remotely ready to speak at a fluent level in order to work there. Currently I speak at about an intermediate level and have been learning it slowly since I was 10. I pick up languages quickly and when I was in Switzerland for only two weeks I came back to the US accidentally speaking in French than in English at the airport. If you have any advice or tips about nursing/ learning French or both I would love to hear it. :)
  2. Actually..I think I found out how to find it. I typed in "ucf nursing 2013" into the search bar and once it was done searching, I clicked the "Groups" link on the top left and I found it, "UCF College of Nursing - Class of 2013" correct? =)
  3. I got accepted too!!! What a relief! :) What is that CON c/o 2013 FB page? I'd love to join too! =D
  4. You guys both have competitive scores....giving me a run for my money. Grrr! =] Anyway that is unfortunate about your D, Swarner5. I feel that if a certain number of years have passed, people should be allowed to petition bad grades. After all, we make mistakes or things happen in life. But anyway, best of luck to you all. HM2Doc, do you have a preference as to which school you would rather go to?
  5. Thanks! Your GPA and scores sound competitive. That 4.0 in your science pre-reqs will probably stand out to them. :) Are you currently a UCF student? I have a 3.84 overall GPA, I got a 90% (99th percentile) on the TEAs test, and I believe my science GPA is around a 3.6 or 3.7. I used to be pre-med (Micro and molecular bio degree) and took General Microbiology (MCB 3020)with Dr. White. Her class was insane and it was 5 credits. I got a B....so that was 5 credits of B. That's the only thing I'm worried about..I don't know if they take into consideration the higher difficulty level. Anyway, I can't wait to finally get a reply..there's too much suspense in waiting!
  6. I have also applied for the same program...I can't wait to hear back from them! :)
