  1. I've taken about 15 classes at Chamberlain, so far, and have only given speeches/presentations in 5 of them. Many of them have been group oriented, but there have been a few solo presentations. Those were in A&P and Speech.
  2. KK4YOU In your first session at Chamberlain, you will have Success Seminar. When I took it, we were required to give a group presentation, but it was not bad at all. I used to be TERRIFIED of public speaking, but have relaxed quite a bit. The interpersonal communications class is a speech class, but it's not as intimidating as it sounds. The instructor I had (James Bernard) was just incredible and he creates a supportive environment for his students. I took Statistics (online) through DeVry/Chamberlain. The first week is very overwhelming, but there are many resources available to you (at least online there is!). I got a strong A in that class. I wouldn't worry too much about the public speaking issue. The students you'll encounter will become very familiar to you, over time, and it doesn't seem formal at all when speaking in front of them.
  3. I'm starting clinicals soon, and the all-white shoe thing is required. I can not afford fancy shoes, and I'm really having a hard time finding all white, non-fabric athletic shoes. I recently found some shoes I like on allheart.com. Has anyone worn Jasco brands? I really like these, but I'm concerned because I haven't read much feedback on them. Any input is definitely appreciated. http://www.allheart.com/jurelax.html?green=9824225147
  4. Hey! I'm glad that I found this thread. I'm just about to finish my first year at Chamberlain. I begin my core nursing courses next semester. Honestly, I'm looking for some reassurance. I've done mostly gen-eds up to this point, and I'm hoping my impression of this school improves when I begin clinicals. The students I've been grouped with have already started cliques, and I'm worried this will affect my clinical experience. How are the clinical groups arranged? I'm also wanting to become more involved in the school... any tips?
