  1. Hi all, I am staying with elmsn so one more opening for ABSN. SM has my decline notice.
  2. I am taking both classes through Santa Barbara City college's online program and she knows this. (These were approved classes for ABSN pre-req) These classes are very informative and relevant to healthcare professionals. However, they are not very intensive. Maybe if these classes are more intensive, 'auditing' may be possible (??) I am still going to go through with both classes since they are useful and interesting. The information from these classes are foundation so more is better for us. Does anyone else want to approach her about it and let us know if 'auditing' is possible for some situation?
  3. It probably changed because too many students have been auditing these classes and they took just as much time/resource as those who were paying for the full price. But I am sure that they will address this issue at the orientation.
  4. Hi Mhfp, I am sure that they are still reviewing the apps this week. My stat is Teas: 97.5% - Reading, 97.8%- Math 4.0 on all science (chem, biology) I was already accepted into ELMSN so my application was reviewed already. So, if the same people were reviewing ABSN applications, it makes a perfect sense that I may have received one of the early calls. Anyway, don't worry. The calls will go out throughout this week and probably even into next week. Good luck!!
  5. JustDandy, LO, the admission counselor told me this afternoon. I asked her about it when she called me about the ABSN admission. She said that SM's patho and pharma classes will be more intensive so we have to take them at SM.
  6. I just found out that Patho and Pharma classes that I am currently taking will not be credited for elmsn. I was hoping to save $$ and just audit these classes at SM. Since I also applied to ABSN as well, I needed these classes for pre-req. BTW, ABSN calls from sac are going out. I received the call and I am also accepted to ABSN. So, for those who are on the waitlist, your number may move up if some people decide to move from elmsn to ABSN program. (I am staying with elmsn)
  7. OK, calls are going out. I received a call from the admission counselor this afternoon and I am accepted to ABSN. This was for Sacramento and I applied only to sac campus. Good luck to all!!
  8. Congrat to all those who got accepted!!! We will see each other on Nov 15th - orientation date. Yes, mark your calendar. It is the same orientation date for all ELMSNs and ABSNs.- according to Liza.
  9. Congrat! ReadyAlready.
  10. Hi, To those who were interviewed this weekend, I am sure that you all did very well. :) How did it go? How many were being interviewed? Did they provide any updated status?
  11. Hey ilnurse, Good luck with your interview!! Let us know what happen!:)
  12. Also congrat to pphmd! I will see you in orientation.
  13. Sorry for the confusion. The email was just for me. She was replying to my email regarding my CM acceptance.
  14. Hi FNP candidates, Good news! In the email that I received from SM admission counselor last night indicates that FNP interviews are still going on and the decision will be made after the final interviews are over. It doesn't indicate when these interviews are conducted but they are still interviewing. :) So, if you don't get the call today, don't worry. It is being delayed for few weeks.
  15. And yeah, My personal statement was genetic and not program specific.
  16. Thanks. They had 21 individual sessions scheduled each for 8/31 and for 9/7. There were 3 seperate one hour interviews for every hour between 9am and 5pm. So, there should be about 42 applicants who are interviewed (21 applicants x 2 days). They have 20 CM openings. More of us will get a call this week. ;-)
  17. Thanks. She did not mention anything about the early admission during the call. But since my CM interview was just yesterday, it probably is an early admission. I know that they have another CM interview scheduled date next week. So, CM interviews are not yet over until next week. I asked her about the FNP status and she told me that she doesn't know the results yet. She also told me that I can make the deposit for CM now and the deposit can be transferred to FNP later. I will be making the deposit to CM as soon as I receive the intruction. More of us will be receiving calls this week.
  18. OK, Calls are going out. I received a call this afternoon and I am accepted for the CM program. I am very relieved that I am accepted to this program. But I am still waiting for the status from the FNP program.
  19. Thanks all. I was interviewed by a current CM program professor and the interview was scheduled for one hour. However, I know that another candidate was interviewed by a different interviewer in another office. I was told that the result for the CM program will be provided within next few weeks (before ABSN results). FNP results should be this week unless something changes. Anything can happen. Let's hope that some of us receive a good news this week.
  20. OK, I just finished my CM interview today and it went great. CM interview was 1 on 1. So, it is now 'waiting game'. Good luck to all of us!
  21. Ark, Don't worry about the content of application or the personal statement since you were already invited to the interview. If they did not like your personal statement, they would not interview you. Obviously, they liked what they saw and your application package scored high enough points. So, just relax and let it be for now until you hear a status from them.
  22. My next interview for CM is on this coming Tuesday. And for CM program, they have another scheduled interview in the first week of september. So, the results of CM interviews probably will be known either after or during the 2nd week of september.
  23. They told our group that there were only two scheduled FNP interviews (8/26 and 8/28). They may schedule some more interviews based on the results of these two interviews but they probably will not conduct more interviews if they don't have to. But the Director of FNP told us that they have total of 20 postions (but one was already taken by a last year's accepted candidate) So, they have only 19 positions left for FNP and they have 20 positions for CM. Those who are already interviewed on these two days for FNP should receive a phone call by the end of this coming Friday if they are accepted. Those who are waitlisted will receive an email. The remaining unaccepted people will receive a rejection letter during the following weeks. Based on the number of people who are interviewed during two interviews, most of us who are already interviewed probably will be either accepted or be waitlisted. I have one more interview coming up with SM for CM program. Good luck to all of us!!! Let's pray that we all get into to the program of our choice!!!
  24. There were about 18people for the interview and they have 19 openings for FNP program. (They already have 1 person in the program because this person was already accepted last year but delayed to start the program.)
  25. Hi, I did my FNP interview today and it went Ok. The interview was a very different format than other 'traditional' interview formats. But I actually enjoyed the process and felt good. It was a great experience. So, we shall see.
