My biggest piece of advice is don't freak out, (because I know I did). I was accepted for the Fall 2011 and my GPA was only 3.7 (while many had a 4.0). I also got a B in Micro AND A&P I (very high B's, but B's nevertheless). So I was CONVINCED I wasn't getting in. However, I went in to take the TEAS and scored somewhere in the 90's, which put me at the 99th percentile as far as the testing was concerned. So that was extremely helpful. From what I know from talking to other students that got in, none of them thought they would get accepted either. I used a general study aid for the TEAS test (that included help studying for other nursing entrance exams as well). Honestly, I barely studied at all and I really didn't find it all that difficult. However, if standardized testing isn't "your thing", doing a bunch of the practice problems in any TEAS study book would probably be really helpful. Just remember to BREATHE. All you can do is the best you can do :) GOOD LUCK!

I would LOVE to get patho out of the way this summer but I'm having a really hard time finding it on the online TWU registry. Is the class just full? Or is it possible to take patho at another school? Help!

I got the bump, and I'm prettyyyyyy sure that you have to have at least 30 or more hours at TWU to get it. But I could be wrong haha

Yeah I'm pretty sure that time period is just referring to the time it will take for them to accept you into TCU's main school....I'm pretty sure that time line doesn't even involve the wait for nursing school. GAH. I hate waiting:uhoh3:

Does anyone know when we will hear back about our nursing applications? I really want to know whether or not I'm accepted, and even though it's only February 1st, the anticipation is KILLING ME!!!

Hey everyone! So my applications to TWU TCU and UTA nursing schools are all in! I will be applying to Midwestern as soon as their application period opens. I'm super, super nervous about getting in. I really just want to get in anywhere. My stats aren't the greatest considering I got 88-89's in most of my sciences. My stats are: GPA: 3.4 (3.8 at TWU with .4 pre reqs boost) HESI score: 90%ish composite TEAS V score: 87% composite I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with similar stats and I was wondering how much emphasis these schools put on their entrance exam scores. I was also wondering if these scores would be considered good. I'm really desperate for any support you guys want to throw at me. Anyway, good luck to everyone out there!

@TheCommuter, out of curiosity, how far of a drive was it for you from Ft. Worth to Murray State College? Must have been far!

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new here and I'm a TWU nursing school hopeful for the fall of 2011. I'm taking Q Lit this fall! All my other pre-reqs are done. I got some B's which makes me nervous. It sucks that they were all 89's or 88's. So that's got me pretty down. But all that to say, I could really use support and advice from all of you guys! How/When do I take the TEAS? How to I sign up for it? I definitely have to do well on it to even have a chance of getting into the dallas campus. Anyway, any info would be awesome :) Thanks everyone!

Why? Because I got 88's and 89's in A&P one and two. Now from the rumor wheel, it seems like NO RN program will accept me. Is that rumor true? I'm just really depressed right now. I've been working so hard and it just continues to seem like an unachievable goal.

Yeah I actually know that they are accredited. But what do you mean they delayed the admission process? Was there no ADN classes this semester?

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm on here in hopes that someone can help me out. I believe I have finished all the required pre-reqs for entrance into the DNI ADN program. Note: I am NOT going in as an LVN, I'm hoping to just be admitted directly into the ADN program. So, just a few questions: -How is the HESI? Which sections of the HESI does DNI require to be completed? -Is the program very competitive? -Is it possible that I could be accepted as early as the spring '11 semester? -How are the classes and teachers? -How expensive is the program? I realize these are a lot of questions, but ANY information you can give me would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you so much!
