So odd that they have not even sent out rejection emails or that only one person's friend (from my memory) on here had gotten a call by now.... I've definitely felt that since the job market is the way it is...(packed with qualified nurses)..it seems keeping their word on deadlines and such have gone a bit by the wayside? Its almost like since they can be incredibly picky with their new hires, they don't seem to remember they are holding people's futures in the palm of their hands. I know I am incredibly lucky for the opportunity that I have received, but I KNOW that each and everyone of you will get your chance as well because we all deserve it!!! Vdrapeau, Lilredrn, Islandteam2003, Opossum ~ Sorry for the delayed response! Yes Salem it is! Thanks for all the well wishes:) and looks like there's a congrats in line for you as well Opossum! Again, good luck to everyone out there with Legacy or wherever you end up!

Nothing here either. But I still wouldn't give up hope! With some ridiculous stroke of luck I was offered a critical care internship elsewhere:) I was looking for over 8 months and had put in over 150 applications all over Oregon. It will happen, just keep the faith and don't give up no matter how frustrating it gets. I wish you all the best!!!

I'm stuck because I have had a family trip planned and paid for over a year starting this Wednesday morning and going until Sunday night! I was hoping that I would have heard by now, but my worst fear is that they will call when I'm out of state! I wish I could magically know either way, so I can relax...but using this past summer as an example, I was giving a one day notice before my second interview. Wish I could cancel my trip, but that will disappoint quite a bunch of people and cost me a lot of money (which would be worth it for a second interview...), but I can't do it just on an assumption! My nerves are on hyperdrive! Anyone get a call for ER yet?

I'm waiting for the call as well! So nerve racking! I applied in the summer too and got a second interview, but no offer. It seems that the calls never came when they said that they would so really I'm not losing my cool until the 21st since I believe they said if we were going to be contacted for a second interview, that would be the deadline. Good luck to everyone out there and keep us all posted!

New Grad BSN for '11
Hey, Well all I have is personal experience, but as a new BSN grad that went to school in Oregon, I find myself struggling to even get an interview. I have not looked south of Eugene (which is about 2 hours south of Portland), but north of Eugene has been pretty sporifice. I graduated in June of this year with a 4.0, I'm a member of the National Nursing Honor Society, and I have my BLS, but I have no work experience (outside of school) as an RN. I have applied to every and any job that I met the minimum requirements for over the past 3 and a half months and have only gotton 1 interview for a new grad position. Unless you have experience, I can't say your efforts over here could be much different, but maybe things will change/improve over the next year?

How do I get an additional nursing license in another state (OR to WA)?
I have my RN license in the state of Oregon, but would like to be licensed in the state of Washington, so that I have more job options. Has anyone done this? What was your experience? From looking on the Washington State Health Department webpage, I am unsure due to some terms such as "endorsement" as well as the fact that they speak of the NCLEX as if I haven't already taken it (I passed last year)? Any experience/guidance would be much appreciated:)

Thanks so much for talking about your experience....I don't know why it didn't occur to me to check my school email. Well I did...and...rejection was sent a little over 2 hours ago. Talk about bummed

I too went through the whole gamut of interviews for the nurse residency program. I interviewed in person in June with 500 other nurses, and received a call back on July 20th for a 2nd interview. Although the manager told me I would definitely know either way by the end of last week, I have yet to receive any notification. I called Friday and left a message, but had not heard anything by Monday, so I called again Tuesday and was routed to another voice mail. I'm beyond antsy to say the least, but it seems obvious that this is just not my time. It would have been great to hear something by now since I would have to move, but I'm assuming based on everyone's responses, that they have made their choices:/
