  1. Lacygirl: Did you speak with the advisement board at your school? Can you appeal the decision? Did you make an appt with the dean of the nursing dept? Did you meet with your professor regarding your grade? You will be able to transfer to another school but you might have to start over from the beginning. You aren't the first nor the last person that this has happened to. I know you are disappointed but you just have to work hard to find another school..but my first option would to speak with the dean first.
  2. Interferron: That is wonderful information. I had no idea that at La Salle you didn't have to wait for their RN to MSN program. I know many schools want you to have at least a yr under your belt. I thought I checked the MSN program at La Salle awhile back and it stated the same...maybe it was another school. How many classes do you have to take and what MSN program are you in? Congrat!
  3. Hiiiii Kdrose01: Most schools require that you have a Bach already or be an RN already for the BSN programs. Are you suggesting that I go back to school to obtain my Bach and then find a nursing program? You are correct the hospitals do want BSN degrees. My problems is the lack of part time evening programs and again having a Bach already in place or having your RN license already. I think for me to get my Bach it would take me approx 1.5 years and then find a nursing program which is typically with a Bach I believe two years. Do you think that is a easier pathway. Is that what you are doing? Thanks.
  4. Ceema: Send me an private message. I cannot because I don't have enough posts yet :-). I need to speak with you. Thanks!
  5. HopingRN: Did you hear from Neumann University? How long is the evening night program. Does anyone have any information regarding Neumann? Thank you thank you.
  6. Hi! Ceema or anyone else start that started or attended the part time night program at Neumann. Are the classes that difficult? For the post that I have read it seems like it could be challenging, but I think every program is challenging especially a nursing program. If you have all of your pre-reqs out the way--do you just start right with the NUR classes? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Is anyone currently and/or graduated from the evening program at Neumann. If so could you please tell me about the application process and how the nursing program is overall. Thank you.
  8. Wow thank you Dream. My problem is I want to obtain my BSN and unfortunately there arent any schools other than La Salle that doesn't require that you either need your bachelors in something else or already be established as a rn. It is unbelieveable that in NJ and PA they are the only ONLY school that has a night program. I have looked all over. I have no problem driving to Delaware; somewhere near PA, NJ or what have you. I called Villanova, Holy Family, Gwynedd Mercy, Temple no one has an evening program; not even an evening for an Assoc degree. Rutger is top notch congrats! I work full time days so my options are limited. Same with FDU days only. Stockton, Rowan all the same. Am I missing something?
  9. I would like some feedback regarding nursing school. It seems as though the way to get into a BSN program is to> 1. Have a bachelors degree already; 2. Have a diploma or assoc degree in nursing. I was thinking do you think it is just best to go back to school and get a BA degree and then go to nursing school? It seems like all the assoc degree nursing program are 2.5 years with a waiting list and the diploma degree programs are 3 years. Right now the majority of the magnet hosp want BSN degree nurses and shooting for Master level. I cannot find a night program anywhere in Southern NJ or PA other than La Salle. Could some one shed some insight. I do have my AS degree. Thanks.
