I had a question for ladyinscrubs. I was wondering how busy the mental health class was. I am trying to plan out my next semester and I didnt want to overload myself. Does the class require a lot of time like your first semester?? thanks so much!

I got my 4 nursing challange exams through the college network. You can try to look on ebay to see if anyone is selling there books. If you end up failing one of the exams, you need to show Indiana State proof that you did purchase the nursing Challenge exam books through the college network. I failed one and had to re-take it but I didnt have my purchase documents from the college network so they just had me send a copy of the first page so I could re-take the exam. The nursing challenge exam book through the college network has all the information you need to pass the test!! Hopes this helps!!!

Was it very hard for Millie to find you a clinical site. I sent in my clinical map for success and was wondering how long she took until she called your two clinical choices. They must have a way to make a deal with the hospitals, i know a lot of ppl who say its hard because we dont have an instructor on site. This is the only prt of the program that worries me.

Thats awesome!! I am still worried about finding a clinical site, I guess places want to know what they would get out of having me their without a instructor. But Im glad to hear it worked out for you. When do expect to graduate?? I know it does take longer living in CA.

ok so they said no about the RN with AA, they have to have a BSN. I have a MD but she lives 2 hrs away... and the teacher said i have to meet with her about 3 hrs a week so im confused on what i should do. If i should just make the trip.

For the assessment class nur 304... I have a RN with an Associates degree that is willing to be my preceptor. Do you think that they will accept that or does it have to be a RN with a BSN???

What is your teachers name. I have Amy L Roy for nur 208... hopefully it is the same class!!

Hi Soonsurgery Glad to hear that your starting this fall too!!! Im taking the transition and assessment this fall. I was just going to take the transition, but I decided to take the risk and do both classes...... i hope i can do it, i have heard that it is a lot of work! Well maybe we can keep in touch and help each other out!! Im excited but also nervous to see how this goes!

I am starting fall 2011.. I decided to take just the transition class and next semester I will take the Assessment class. Just to clarify.. u had mentioned that we will get a semester off while they figured out our clinical site. So if I finish the Assessment class Spring 2012 will I have Fall semester off or is it Summer semester off??? They didnt mention that I will have a semester off.

how did you find a RN to do your assessment clinical time with??? Do you have to complete all 50 hours with your preceptor??
