Need a tad bit of help (or hope)
Hey, I just wanted to say that I know how you are feeling. I am also preparing to take the TEAS for the 2nd time. I need to take it by the end of next week, but haven't scheduled it yet because I am so nervous. I think if we can overcome our nervousness, we can "mash up the test" (in a good way of course), as my husband likes to say. . Confidence and deep breaths will be my key next time.

Who's taken the TEAS v more than once?
Thanks so much RNStudent! That is very encouraging! What did you use to study that helped you to increase your score by so much?

Who's taken the TEAS v more than once?
I guess I'm looking for a bit of encouragement here. I took the Teas (paper and pencil) last weekend and I didn't score as well as I was hoping. Becoming an RN has been my dream for a number of years and the TEAS is the last thing I need in order to complete my application. With that said, my nerves got the best of me and I did poorly in my strongest section and ok in the others. I did worse on the actual exam in my strongest area than I did on the practice exam! And, by a lot I'd like to add. Is there anyone here who has take the exam a second time and done a lot better? What helped you? I have this fear at the back of my mind that'll do worse the next time because I'll be even more nervous knowing that this is my final shot at the exam. Any advise or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Fall 2011 Mercer Nursing Acceptance???
Robine0511 Thanks so much for you reply. Your scores are impressive! I've completed everything except for microbiology. I need to retake the Teas to get a more competitive score though. I was super nervous the first time around; so much so that I did worse in English on the actual test than I did on the practice exam (and by a lot). I was really surprised when I got the results because English my my strong area. Nonetheless, this is my dream and I want it more than anything and I don't plan on giving up.

Fall 2011 Mercer Nursing Acceptance???
Robine0511 Congratulations on your acceptance! Would you mind sharing your teas score and gpa? Also, did you have all of your pre-req's done? I plan on applying within the next week or so and I'm very anxious. It would be helpful to get an idea of what my chances are. Thanks!

MCG/CNL Fall 2011 applicants
I'm also thinking about applying but I'll have two pre-req's in progress for Spring and one to complete over the Summer. Because of that, I wonder if I'll be competitive enough for the Athens campus?

A foreign language class is considered a cultural appreciation course. There is another option as well that I can't think of right now. I hope this helps.

Help Please-Need online A&P
My local cc is dragging their feet in processing my application for fall. This means that I may not get admitted in time along with the fact that all of the A&P classes are already full. That would leave me hoping that someone would drop. With all of that said, I need a back-up plan: I need an online A&P course that I can start next month (or later) and be done with by the first week of December. Please help! Thanks!

Need advice PLEASE!
Thank you so much sh1901! I'll take your advice and give them some more time. I presumed that the delay was in part due to the time of year. Thanks again!

Need advice PLEASE!
I have selected 3 schools to apply to for next fall. I have been in communication via email with an advisor from my top choice and they had been really helpful. I sent my transcript per their request for evaluation nearly two weeks ago along with a follow up email to ensure they received it and I haven't heard back yet. If you were in this situation what would you do? I really want to send another email, but I don't want to annoy them. I was thinking it might be due to the semester starting next week, but this is a long time with no response. I really need some advice here. Thanks!

Any Georgia pre-nursing students
Hey! I'm in GA also. I plan on taking the Teas V next month and I'm also worried about the math. I have the ATI guide and plan on doing a lot of studying between now and the test. I find the TEAS to be intimidating because your score has a lot to do with acceptance or rejection. Nonetheless, it has to be done. I do however, find a lot of the posts here to be helpful which, actually keeps me from studying because I can't get away from the forum. Btw, what schools do you plan on applying to?

Calling all GBCN/Mercer Students & Alumni
Thank you so much Hopeful2011! I am already in contact with an admissions counselor there and she has been super helpful. The thought crossed my mind over the weekend so I decided to ask here (besides, I don't want to seem like a pest). As a current student, can you offer any advice or tips on getting accepted? GBCN is my top choice so I want to do everything I can to get in. Thanks again!

Calling all GBCN/Mercer Students & Alumni
Hello Everyone! I plan on applying to GBCN for Fall '11 and I am hoping some of you can help me. I have completed all of the pre-req's except for 3 science courses which I am planning to take at a local tech. college. Here's my question: have any of you completed your science pre-req's at local tech or community college's and were they accepted for transfer? I'm asking because there is a statment on GBCN's website that indicates that they look at the competitive nature of the college where the credits are being transferred from. Thanks for all of your help!
