  1. Hey, I just wanted to say that I know how you are feeling. I am also preparing to take the TEAS for the 2nd time. I need to take it by the end of next week, but haven't scheduled it yet because I am so nervous. I think if we can overcome our nervousness, we can "mash up the test" (in a good way of course), as my husband likes to say. . Confidence and deep breaths will be my key next time.
  2. Thanks so much RNStudent! That is very encouraging! What did you use to study that helped you to increase your score by so much?
  3. I guess I'm looking for a bit of encouragement here. I took the Teas (paper and pencil) last weekend and I didn't score as well as I was hoping. Becoming an RN has been my dream for a number of years and the TEAS is the last thing I need in order to complete my application. With that said, my nerves got the best of me and I did poorly in my strongest section and ok in the others. I did worse on the actual exam in my strongest area than I did on the practice exam! And, by a lot I'd like to add. Is there anyone here who has take the exam a second time and done a lot better? What helped you? I have this fear at the back of my mind that'll do worse the next time because I'll be even more nervous knowing that this is my final shot at the exam. Any advise or tips would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Robine0511 Thanks so much for you reply. Your scores are impressive! I've completed everything except for microbiology. I need to retake the Teas to get a more competitive score though. I was super nervous the first time around; so much so that I did worse in English on the actual test than I did on the practice exam (and by a lot). I was really surprised when I got the results because English my my strong area. Nonetheless, this is my dream and I want it more than anything and I don't plan on giving up.
  5. Robine0511 Congratulations on your acceptance! Would you mind sharing your teas score and gpa? Also, did you have all of your pre-req's done? I plan on applying within the next week or so and I'm very anxious. It would be helpful to get an idea of what my chances are. Thanks!
  6. I'm also thinking about applying but I'll have two pre-req's in progress for Spring and one to complete over the Summer. Because of that, I wonder if I'll be competitive enough for the Athens campus?
  7. CLEP? $70! Sounds great! Is this something you have done? Would you be able to recommend any study materials? Thanks!
  8. I'll definately keep them in mind. I would love not to have to pay $1k for that one measly class, lol.
  9. Thanks Christina23, but they are anything but cheap at $312 per credit.
  10. Hey guys! I need a CHEAP ONLINE Developmental Psych/Lifespan Development course that I can complete before December. I welcome any and all suggestions. Thanks!
  11. A foreign language class is considered a cultural appreciation course. There is another option as well that I can't think of right now. I hope this helps.
  12. My local cc is dragging their feet in processing my application for fall. This means that I may not get admitted in time along with the fact that all of the A&P classes are already full. That would leave me hoping that someone would drop. With all of that said, I need a back-up plan: I need an online A&P course that I can start next month (or later) and be done with by the first week of December. Please help! Thanks!
  13. Thank you so much sh1901! I'll take your advice and give them some more time. I presumed that the delay was in part due to the time of year. Thanks again!
  14. Thanks iluvpatho. I have a previous degree and I need to know what credits they will accept for transfer so that I know what to register at the local cc for.
