Hello allnurses: I am a 59 year old male working in Housekeeping in a hospital. I am returning to school to become a Practical Nurse in Ottawa, Canada. I realize the nursing profession is dominated by female nurses and I would like some advice from both male and female nurses regarding how best to fit in with the group. For example, are there stereotypes of men to which female nurses cling. Is the politics all left wing? How to avoid the cattyness, if any, in the workplace. Forewarned is forearmed. Much appreciated, guy-nurse
