1. What? I think you are wrong here. If there is one thing that we should all have learned on this board by now it is that NCLEX scores do not have any bearing on what type of nurse you will be. Nursing is a lot more than a single test.
2. I have been lurking on these forums for quite some time, specifically in the NCLEX forum. I noticed that a significant amount of members posting on this board post about god, and praying and the trusting in the lord to pass the test. I don't think that telling people who are posting for help passing the NCLEX to pray and it will work, is very fair to them at all. I was wondering if nurses are generally a very religious group? Thoughts?
3. I don't want to deliver bad news but if you did the PVT and it took you to the CC page, then you did not pass. Try again and see what happens. If it still takes you to the CC page, then I am sorry. From what I have read the PVT is 100% accurate
4. Hello! I posted this in response to someone's question, and I thought it might be helpful to others : I took the NCLEX on the July 13th and studied for about 4 days using only the Kaplan online trainers. They are VERY helpful, and I highly recommend them. I passed in 75 questions and to be honest I had planned on that happening. Even though when I took the exam I felt like i didn't know anything, the Kaplan questions really prepared me to make educated guesses, and I was so relieved when it turned off. Kaplan questions are VERY much like the ones that you will encounter on the NCLEX. Just do ALL of the questions you can, whenever you can. Like while you're watching TV or something. My only piece of advice is to be sure to read ALL of the rationales on the ones that you get wrong AND correct, and you will be ready in no time!! The Kaplan instructor that my school hired told us that anything over a 60% is a good sign that you will pass. You should aim to be in the 67%-75% area it you can, though. Keep on doing them until you can consistently get those scores and you will be ready! GOOD LUCK! Matt

7. I agree it is not what I expected, but I have heard it from no less than five completely different people
8. Hi all! So I know a few people who have taken the NCLEX recently (all have passed on the first attempt) but they each said the same thing. Almost all of the medication questions, besides the most important meds (digoxin, HTN meds etc), were ones that they had never heard of. This is because they are mostly medications that are relatively new on the market and we were not taught about at all in school. Is anyone aware of this phenomenon or has some sort of list of newly developed medications that may be on the test? It does not seem very fair that they would test on these medications knowing that most programs do not teach them. Thoughts? Info? Thanks in advance!
9. Thanks everyone, I'm really glad that you guys enjoyed it!
10. Hey all!! If you like nurse/patient humor and/or Lady GaGa, check out this nursing themed parody of Telephone!! It's pretty funny hehehe.
