Thank you for your comments. After reading Lumbarpain's comment,I decided to do some research on this facility.This facility has a lot of deficiences that were uncovered at the last inspection.Among the deficiencies are patients' safety,nutrition,cleanliness,not enough staff to safely care for the amount of patients at te facility. Based on this,I've decided not to attend the interview.I have never worked in a long term care facility.I am a UK nurse. P.S. All of the inspections for prior years were very frightening:(. I ordered a fax blast for my resume to be sent...hence why I ended up with this interview. Thanks again for your comments.

Good evening all! It's a long story but i'll keep it short.I have not worked in four years.I have unsuccessfully applied to several hospitals . I finally got two interviews for long term care.I am panicking about it now because i dont know if I will be able to answer all the questions correctly.Part of me really wanna go...part of me wanna just avoid going to the interview.I am here picking my hair out because I feel like a loser. What do you guys think? any advice will be appreciated.

Are you seeing the part where it says "nursing program? I am also a foreign educated nurse.Once you select your program;make sure that you click on "search." Make sure you are selecting the country in which you were educated. Good luck!

Hi! I would recommend doing both content and practice questions.I had a lot of meds that I've never heard of. What I did was ask myself which of the answer choices will be more detrimental to the client. I looked at SATA as true or false (had tons of em). With the intervention questions... e.g which action by the new nurse would require your IMMEDIATE intervention? : the nurse told the client to go back to bed,the nurse is wearing a face mask to change the client's linen,the nurse is telling the client that she will get better after taking tb meds for a week, the nurse is telling a client who had a liver biopsy an hour ago to lie on her left side....well,which one will require your immediate intervention? which one will most likely hurt/kill the patient? How I started thinking like this?....LACHARITY!!!!! I was unsuccessful on my previous attempts because I did not know what the NCLEX wanted from me.I did not know how to study,what to study. Once I got hold of this book I was getting more confident by the day.I read it twice.Did not do the case studies,just did the 18 chapters and read every single rationale. I even got 4 questions exactly as I saw them in the LACHARITY book. I felt like I got all the Delegation,Assignment ,and Prioritization questions right..thanks to this LACHARITY book.I could go on and on about this book. I did Hurst review,but would not recommend it as the only preparation for nclex.I studied Hurst and was still getting loads of questions wrong.I'm not saying it's not ood,but you could use Saunders Comprehensive review with the LAcharity book,as well as Kaplan and be successful. Hope I've answered all your questions cos I'm super nervous as I write... Good luck!

Thanks! I used Hurst Review notes,Kaplan 2010-2011 strategies, and THE BIGGY...DELEGATION AND ASSIGNMENT BOOK.This book is a MUST!!!!! I did not do too many questions,just did the ones in Kaplan and La Charity books.
