  1. Hey there, I came across our thread. I was wondering if you remember anything from the pharm exam for NYP. I have to take it this week. Any info you can give me is much appreciated. Thanx
  2. Has anyone taken the NLN - Basic Proficiency in Medication Administration? I need to take it at NYP cornell to begin Nursing orientation. I was not given a study guide or anything. Please Help if you can...
  3. Dear Fellow Collaegues- Now my question to you is, Don't you think its silly for nurses to ask for a doctors order for Ativan just to get a patient to be quiet and pass out. Just so that their neighbor can sleep? I understand the logistics but the point is shouldn't you use your judgment to figure out why that patient is up and what you can do to relieve the patient's stress rather then chemically restraining them? Its just begins a vicious cycle of agitation when they come off of it.
  4. thanks so much. amy books or programs u recommend?
  5. I heard about that site. Im not upset any more just more of a wake up call. in a way i feel like a failure and the other half of me is even more motivated
  6. Hello there. I've taken NCLEX twice. First time I did ATI and the computer shut off at 182.The second attempt I did the online kaplan course. I was confident and the computer shut off at 112. I felt that I did well and walked out feeling like I passed. Found out I failed. I'm actually calm and fed up. I just want to take it again and pass on the next attempt. Just don't know were to start.
  7. I just registered on Pearaon Vue for the exam again for NY. So does anyone know how this works. I think its 45 day i have to wait but, when do I get an ATT? or whats the process
  8. So Ive failed NCLEX... I just registered on Pearaon Vue for the exam again for NY. So does anyone know how this works. I think its 45 day i have to wait but, when do I get an ATT?
  9. Dear SuperNurse ..... After reading your blog it seem as though you work at Cornell. I would there as well and I am a new graduate nurse looking to transition to an RN roll. I was a Student nurse extern on the pediatrics units and women and children's is my dream job area to work in. For some reason HR is giving me a hard time and I'm an employee there. At this point i will take a med-surg job. I keep calling and calling. I had 2 interview and was declined due to the fact they prefered nurses with expereince. I have worked at 3 different hospitals and have all pediatric and maternity expereince. At this point I just want to talk onto a floor and hand my resume to the PCD's. Any advice. Its crazy, all I want is a position advanement and I have a BSN
  10. now how do you know what to study or where to begin on NCLEX attempt #2.... I have a feeling i failed but if i did I wouldn't know were to start studying.
  11. Im at the point that Im willing to accept whether ive passed or failed. IT is what it is and I cant erase what happened. All i can do is look forward to my future in the days to come and prepare myself. Whether PVT worse or not im not stressing it b/c regardless Im destined to have my RN license one day. Can't let my BSN go to waste.
  12. So if you have passed NCLEX what does the message say? Congratulations you've passed?
  13. I took the exam in NY. So I have no idea. I guess it varies state to state
  14. This question goes out to anyone. So I tested yesturday which is a saturday. Will I technically hear a result tommorow which is monday or do I have to wait 2 business days?
