  1. YAY -- I'm in for Spring B start for March 11th !!
  2. Cauliflower - did you get a personal acceptance email or a group wise email that welcomed everyone in the class? In the past I'm hearing they got both -- just trying to figure out if they let out all the acceptance emails?
  3. I applied for class 112 also, I haven't heard yet -- and if you look at the boards on here - no one else has either. They do have a facebook page that sometimes annouces that admission emails are going out for the different classes - so you might watch that to. . They had said their goal is to send admission emails out 6-8 weeks before Frontier bound, today is 6 weeks. Also, they notify you whether you made it in or not. The anticipation is crazy.
  4. Boy, I wish we could get that magic email and get on with planning .
  5. Anybody know any good scholarship or grant opportunities if we do get in?
  6. I'm thinking if they just released the admissions to the 111 class, that it might be a little bit before we hear. I think I'll start putting a dollar in a jar for every time I check my email - :)
  7. I applied CFNP. Sooooooo would like to hear some good news.
  8. So I must have been wrong about 111 being notified at 8 weeks if they are just letting people know now -- that was someone posting that they were accepted in Dec - I'll have to look back. So 112 happens two weeks after 111 - hopefully we will hear quicker than that.
  9. So the class of 111 was notified exactly 8 weeks prior to bound. . . . . which brings the 8 week mark for the class of 112 to January 8, 2012 - which would be tomorrow. I know - like we are not all holding our breaths already.
  10. I applied for Class 112 - haven't heard yet. Looks like probably mid to end of January by their - 6-8 weeks before clinical bound. Really would like to know if I'm in . . . unless I'm not, and then I guess I don't mind the wait. lol
  11. I applied for 112 too !! I'm excited. I received the email that said my application was complete also - about two weeks ago - they also said their "goal" is to notify people 6-8 weeks before frontier bound. I'm excited, but dang, don't want to wait for the answer. Anyone hear the GPA or experience or anything about what it took for anyone to get in??????
  12. Not to freak anyone out BUT -- we've got two of our gals from oklahoma here that were notified they received the Grant this afternoon -- came by email! So happy for them!
  13. HRsa will fund the school for your tuition -- but it happens late in the semester -- for instance, I have not gotten paid for summer yet - pretty sure spring came before the end of the semester. As far as your loans -- they won't pay them off, but when funding comes, you always have the ability to take the funding from the burser and write a check to your loan.
  14. Last year it came by mail -- there were papers for us to sign and send back in.
  15. I was awarded a two year contract (one of only 17) - so mine automatically renewed - They sent emails to current grant people asking if they wanted to renew the grant for another year -- which I think is pretty normal - so if you only get a one year grant, and you have more than one year left - you will probably be able to extend.
  16. I have a two year contract - it automatically renewed. At the end of our year though -- they asked the people that had signed on for one year -- if they wanted to extend for a second year -- so even if you are awarded one year, if it's like in the past, they renew you pretty easily for a second year.
  17. I think you'll get paid anyway -- they paid for July - and we had no class at all that month.
  18. I've received the stipend payment year round -- the payment in october included July aug sept and oct. We didn't start class until the 23rd of Aug. and they would not have even known if I took summer classes or not -- if you ask them, they will tell you your contract goes from July to June - so you will get stipend payments for each of those months.
  19. 750 preapproved people will get 500 scholarships . . . you have to remember how many people will not have passed last semester, how many have decided against nursing, change of plans, etc. I bet you all get it.
  20. I have the scholarship for two years - but when I received notice they said the school year would run from July 09 through July 10. I received stipends for every month - whether December was only 5 school days, or, we don't even start school until mid August, or even if I didn't take summer class' - they still paid every month. Your first payment will catch you up from July 2010. I think seeing I graduate in early May -- that mine will probably cut off that month however.
