  1. If you are looking for overall ranking Yale is #7, Columbia # 19 and Penn #3 ( U.S. News and World Report). I graduated from the PNP program at PENN and absolutely loved it. Rigorous clinical training, supportive faculty, networking and tons of resources. Next you must think about what type of graduate program that you are interested in. PENN - has a great PNP, FNP, Nursing Administration and business, Geriatric NP etc ( they also have a GRE waiver if you have a certain G.P.A). YALE - FNP, PNP , Midwifery COLUMBIA- Adult NP, Midwifery first ever DNP program founded here. You have lots of options. They all have great programs. However, my vote is for PENN! Good Luck
  2. Hello, I hope this is not too late....I graduated from the PNP program at PENN in August 2009. I had a phone interview. I found that it was much easier to to interview on the phone. I was asked the same questions as an in-person interview " strengths, weaknesses, why did you apply to the program" . I was really excited and I just focused on my passion for the program and profession. They are really interested in you as a person and your unique experiences. I spoke in depth about my visit there and the honesty of the students within the program ( the students were not just recruiting you but were truthful about what the program had to offer). I also spoke about what I was looking forward to in their program and how PENN was different ( such as their clinical sites, and rigorous clinical training). By the end of the interview it felt more like a conversation and I took that as a positive sign. The GNP, FNP, ANP and PNP students had 1-2 classes together and from my understanding the GNP students loved the program. The faculty is extremely supportive. Good luck, you will definitely love PENN and what it has to offer.
