  1. Hi! I am planning on applying for fall start date at GCU. I had a question about the entrance exam information I am reading about here. I asked my adviser about a week ago if they had the information on the new entrance exam yet, and she stated that the info was not yet available and that as soon as it was she would let me know. So I guess I am wondering where the information is coming from about the HESI test (as well as the info about what sections are required for it). I had told her I would like to know what test to start preparing for since the TEAS was no longer going to be used. Thanks in Advance!
  2. Hi, Well the midterm was long and challenging, but not bad. I believe the reason why it wasn't too hard is because I did do all the required reading and assignments. If you do that, and understand it, and pay attention to what your instructor tells you to focus on (i.e.: objectives etc..) when studying, it should go ok. It is interesting material to learn, which makes it easier. Hope that helps. Just don't try any shortcuts to the learning and I think you will do well. etd. Oh sorry, forgot to let you know it is not open book or open notes.
  3. Hi, I am currently taking FON 241 @ Rio, and have had a good experience so far. I like my instructor and feel that she is very helpful. I looked in the archives to see if there were any threads recently regarding FON 241 midterms or finals. Most posts were from several years back. Has anyone recently taken this course through Rio that can offer advice on the best way to prepare for midterm and final. I have the midterm coming up, which is in person, and want to ensure I am really prepared. My teacher advised that I should focus my studying on the objectives listed on each lesson, as well as know the content of all possible AYL essays. Any tips/advice/experience etc... would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
  4. Congrats to all who have made it this far and have been accepted into the MCCCD/NAU CEP programs. I do have a question from someone just pursuing all the pre-req's for this option. How often do they have groups start this program each year? Is it just once a year in the fall? Thanks in advance to those who are willing to answer. :)
  5. I'm glad the OP asked this as this is kind of my situation too. About 15 years healthcare experience (some hospital, but mostly clinic and home visits). I'd be curious to hear from anyone (if you are out there) who is a recent grad and didn't have trouble finding work. If you exist and are willing to make a quick post, I would be interested in reading about it. (BTW..Im considering going back to school for nursing..RN)
