  1. Hello All. I was offered a new grad position at Sharp Chula! The manager called me earlier today telling me if I wanted a job still.. :)
  2. Hello all! Has anyone heard anything from Sharp Chulas med/surge tele? I had a panel interview last month. I was told sometime this week we would know something. Thanks!! Good luck to everyone and to talking the NCLEX!
  3. What would be the possible questions asked during a panel interview? Its for Sharp CV m/s tele.. would they ask? Sorry for the noobieness, its my first panel interview for my nursing career... Thank you!
  4. Hello All I had no phone interview, rather they scheduled me for a panel interview. What would be potential areas to focus on? Since it is for Med/Surge Tele (Sharp CV) I am going to look up things along those lines. In addition I am going to look up their (Sharp) Mission and core beliefs. Are there any other areas of focus I should consider? For those who have Sharp Chula Vista panel interviews, I was informed that there is currently construction going on. Plan to leave a bit earlier than usual to find parking around the area prior to your interview.
  5. Sharp Chula Vista Med Surge Tele contacted me about March for a panel interview. Are there anyone else interviewing for Sharp Chula M/S Tele? Getting nervous for my upcoming interview!!
  6. Thanks for the tips everyone. My panel interview for Sharp CV is not till May 9th (M/S Tele). This would be my first nursing type interview as well. Im very nervous!! Good luck to everyone too!
  7. Any advice would be appreciated as well. My panel interview isn't till May 9th. What can I do to better prepare myself? Thanks again and I wish everyone the best of luck!
  8. Thanks! I have no prior nursing experience since graduating last May. I have been volunteering at Flu clinics here and there for hospitals. They called just to tell me I was selected for panel interview. The lady then told me the date and location/unit it was for. Do not give up though, keep your head up!
  9. Im really nervous! I have no clue what to expect. I also got a phone call from SDSU saying I got accepted to the RN BSN program. How could I best prepare for the panel interview for Sharp? I want to wish everyone the best of luck and to hang on to your dreams of becoming a nurse.
  10. Hello everyone I have applied for the Sharp new grad program as well. I received a phone call yesterday stating I got chosen for a panel interview! Im really excited but nervous at the same time. I am scheduled for May interviews. The potential position is for med-surge/tele at Sharp CV. I graduated from Southwestern College in 2010 and have an ADN. Any insight to the process would be greatly appreciated. Keep your heads up everyone!!
  11. Any more info would be appreciated.
  12. Thanks for the replies so far. Much appreciated. I'm 24 and single. My gf and I plan to marry in the next 2 years when she finishes school.
  13. Hello all I recently passed the state boards 3 months ago in California. Jobs around San Diego has been really tough for a new grad. I graduated with my ASN this year as well. I will start the BSN program at SDSU next fall. The navy has always been of interest to me ever since I started nursing school. Being in a military family made me well aware of the moving and deployment. But is it really worth it in the long run to be a nurse in the navy? I checked out the navy website and contacted a recruiter but so far no reply. With todays economy and health care issues it seems like a good choice. But civilian nurses have a bit more control with their work. Can someone please explain the pros and cons on it? Thank you again! Marc
